Facebook removed Trump post containing '''harmful COVID misinformation''' - Business Insider

"Facebook said this is the first time it has completely taken down a post by Trump for pushing coronavirus misinformation, according to The New York Times' reporter Davey Alba."

Man, just think if all Social Media platforms removed Trump's 'harmful COVID misinformation'. There would be a hell of a lot less Trump posts.

We really needed a president like Obama during this crisis. A decent human. We wouldn't have nearly as many dead Americans or nearly as much misinformation coming from the White House.

Didn't think it would be them to finally remove him.

With our government officials unwilling to carry out a 25th Amendment process, the best we can hope for is the removal of harmful tweets. It may help to reduce the damage to our nation.

Regards, stay safe 'n well. Remember the Big 3: masks, hand washing and physical distancing.

What was harmful about it? And what does removing it do but bring more attention to what he said.

Pretty much.

How sad is that?

It hopefully convinces Facebook users who follow Trump that he lies. It was the right thing to do.

It was Facebook not Twitter. Facebook hasn't exactly guarded against misinformation in the past.

Hi!

Yup. That too.

Eh. I think the people that love Donald Trump love him for 2 reasons.

Either they think the South is rising again or they just don't know how to figure out when a con man is a con man.

More evidence, not that more was needed, that you dont know wtf you are talking about. If you actually understood why people support Trump you would know why Trump won in 2016 and why its likely to happen again.

He tells angry miserable people looking to blame others for their failures in life exactly what they want to hear.

What was the lie? And why do you want views you disagree with silenced? Any art youd like to see destroyed or books burned? Might as well just go full fascist and quit playing around, no?

The angry miserable people are all on the left. Try again and with less projection

Everybody knows why Trump supporters support Trump. As a bloc, this isn't a group of people with complicated thoughts and feelings. If they were a mystery novel, they'd be two pages along, with lots of random words in all caps and misspellings and run-on sentences. And when they didn't win the Pulitzer, they'd blame the deep state.

Trump uses veiled racism to communicate with racists. He also speaks to white retirees that have no more skin in the economic game, They sit around listening to AM radio and watching reality TV, angry that the world has passed them by. Trump is nothing but entertainment value to them with his outrageous statements. Then there is the corporate business "upper crust" that vote GOP for the tax cuts and willingness to deregulate everything. However these folks have already received their juicy tax cut and realize Trump is an embarrassment to them. He serves no more purpose, so they don't care if he burns. These three demographics aren't enough to ensure Trumps reelection.

Most don't like Trump at all. They just prefer him over any hypocritical lying socialist Democrat.

He's justifying censorship not even by a government entity, but his corporate overlord. He's saying essentially the ends justify the means.

You can't reason with someone that's that immoral. It's borderline psychopathic.

I was going to respond to that post but I decided not to is it would be worthless.

What he's saying essentially is anybody who disagrees with him has these character flaws.

There's a few things wrong here.
1, a lack of self-awareness. Somebody who doesn't understand that their opinion however they can't do it is not fact doesn't realize that other people can disagree with them.

2. Narcissism. If a person thinks that what they believe is correct because they believed it, despite anything from to the contrary, they are egotistical narcissists

3. Inability to rationalize ones position. He believes he doesn't have to because he's already prejudged everyone who disagrees with him to be a failure that's angry at the world.

4. Bigotry. Bigotry is defined as someone who is intolerant of others opinions and beliefs. When a person says everyone who holds political views different from their own is a broken person, that's the same as saying only black people commit crimes.

Certain people are not worth the time of day. Look at his screen name. He is so consumed buy the things I mentioned above he has identify himself by what he hates.

I really have pity for people that absorbed.

It seems like a lot of people don't evaluate platforms as much as the evaluate personality or identity. Imagine that in the world plagued with identity politics.

Let's look at the last two people the Democrats ran. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. These are tokens they are not platforms are parties. One is non white and the other one is female.

I remember in the early days of Barak Obama's campaign and presidency. I remember very valid criticisms being dismissed as racist. Why were they dismissed as racist? I think it's because they only saw him for his skin color.

Same thing with Hillary Clinton and her sex.

Look at Biden in this election. He said he would pick a female of color. Those are the qualifications. Not track record not policy, identity.

So because these people can't think outside of their own identity that's how they think everyone thinks.

I don't love presidents. I haven't loved any of them in my lifetime. In fact I'd probably have some criticisms for them if I ever met them.

That's the difference. I can vote for a scumbag who makes policy decisions I'd prefer. Others cannot.

They take down Trump and leave up the Ayatolla Azzahola's twitter feed. Tell you anything? Send a message to you at all?
