The chart shows the infection rate and death rate going WAY WAY WAY down to almost nothing.

Sweden should be a model for the world. They have conquered it without masks, social distancing or forcing people to shutter businesses. They have 570 deaths per million compared to the UK at 682, Peru 606, Spain 609, Italy 582, Belgium, 850.

Look at Belgium and you see the deaths STILL going UP and they are already the highest in deaths per million. Look also at the UK which had 89 new deaths just yesterday. These are countries which locked down, required masks......for WHAT!?? A HIGHER death toll than Sweden??

I told you all this from the get go and you didn't want to believe me. People aren't getting sick and dying in Sweden right now..or in South Dakota. Unlike people, mathematics and logic doesn't lie. President Trump had idiots like Fauci advising him and of course the WHO was there. These "experts" ruined America for decades to come. Unelected, stupid.....BUT, they have initials behind their names so the sheep follow them.

What in the hell do you think insurance on a house or a car or a boat or a business is? The insurance companies collect the money from thousands. Some people could have a $200,000 loss the next day and the insurer would pay them irregardless of the fact that they only paid a days worth of premiums.

Your false analogy is that someone may collect MORE SSI than they paid in and therefore any excess constitutes "welfare". I'm sorry Blue Tex, but this is ridiculous. All those people who had fire or car or health insurance who never had anything happen don't go to the insurance company and demand a refund.

It's disturbing that people think SSI or Medicare is welfare

So, a tax that says it is FOR social security doesn't really mean that? People who PAID a tax marked SSI are really receiving welfare because even though they paid that tax, they pay other taxes, so anything they get is welfare. IOW,the government can lie and SAY you are paying SSI and Medicare, but that's really welfare? Why? Because liberals want EVERYONE to get that same stuff even though they never paid for it.

Based on your analogy, no one should have to pay a premium for their house or car because those who did and get their house or car repaired are getting welfare and they should too.

No, I'm not saying that, you are.
People pay the SSI tax expecting to get the benefit, like you mentioned previously about paying into a retirement fund versus getting something free. The right's anger seems to be with any payout that can be deemed free for parasites. The Unemployment Insurance tax is not paid into by the recipient, but the employer as another tax, so why is that not part of the free stuff anger?

What is the difference,really. If the employer is required to pay the state, that same amount of money cannot be otherwise paid to YOU! Thus, you are getting less money. Depending on which state you live in, that is 6-8%. Thus,if one makes 100K a year, from 6,000 to 8,000 a month is being paid to government that otherwise could be paid in salary to the worker. IOW, you get 6-8% less pay and are really "paying" into unemployment.

Sweden. With 10.23 million people, they managed 81540 cases of Covied, that's an infection ration of 7970.7 per million. They have 5760 deaths, giving Covid a 7.06% mortality rate and a death ratre of 563 per million.

Right next door in Norway, they managed 9388 cases with 256 deaths, an infection rate of 1748.9 per million, Covid mortality rate of 2.73%, and 47.69 deaths/million. Right next door.

The population density of Sweden is twice that of tiny Norway with just 5.4 million people. I think you forgot something. Norway does not require masks. Just thought I'd tell ya. OH...restaurants are open there too. They aren't in the United States and we require masks.

They went through a shutdown phase and had social distancing requirements. They were able to get a handle on their outbreak early and their death rate has been exceptionally low. Bars and such were closed, restaurants had to follow strict social distancing rules. They restricted where people could go, and there were fines imposed for violation of home quarantine/isolation rules as well as for organizing events.

If you want larger population densities, Germany had a much lower infection rate and death rate due to Covid. They have 8 times the population of Sweden and not even twice the deaths. If anyone is a shining example of what to do, it was Germany.

Restaurants are open in the US, at least they are here, just thought I'd tell ya.

Oh....I guess it looks like I'm right. No surprise there.

If someone has to be laid off, something temporarily is better than nothing, is the only point I see.
I support Unemployment Insurance, because stuff happens to people, and they may need help for a period during a tough time such as a lay off, and government by the people should support that, but fortunately I've never had to collect it.. I'm just saying here that you (generally speaking) can't call something else a socialist benefit (or worse), and not that. I know employers aren't happy about paying that tax. By the way, I do not support free college other than what may already be offered limitedly. Though student debt is out of control.

Big cities and dense populations is what. In the less populated areas, America is doing very well. Toss out four states.

Free stuff like 0% interest and govt. buying bonds to support corporations worth millions tp billions along with 98 billion in tax deductions for no taxes owed???
