I am assuming that most commenters on DP know of Jerry Falwell Jr - that good, 'true' Christian who heads Liberty University.

The bizarre vacation photo Jerry Falwell Jr. posted — and then quickly deleted

A photo recently posted then deleted by Jerry Falwell Jr. left people scratching their heads after a screen shot of the image started making the rounds on social media.

The photo shows the Liberty University president on a yacht with his pants unzipped and his shirt pulled up exposing his belly, with a woman he identified as a “friend” standing next to him with her pants similarly unzipped as Falwell has his hand around her waist, holding a glass containing some sort of dark liquid. According to Liberty student Alexandra Green, the photo shows Falwell to be even more of a hypocrite than people realize.

Anyone stupid enough to buy into his schtick is stupid or dishonest enough to say that. Won't be surprised if he has his Ted Haggarty moment.
 
I like that he claimed that it was only a prop. Who in their right mind would have ever bought that?

People who think true Christianity is giving loads and loads of money to a “Christian” family who spends it on Yachts for themselves.

Liberty University is apparently anything but about Liberty apparently.

"more of a hypocrite than people realize".... actually I am not surprised. Usually people like him are massive hypocrites.

Did he get little Peg Bundy pregnant? Because she does look like she could be pregnant... also, gross. She looks a lot younger than him.

I imagine people close to him have a ton of dirt. Something is off with this guy. It will be interesting when the stories start to finally come out.

Easy to see why he and trump are friends. True Christians, well true greed and lust driven Christians

Yeah, this is the guy who was allegedly taking photos of he and his wife banging the pool boy. trump's former fixer, Cohen, then somehow got a hold of some of the photos and blackmailed Fallwell Jr. into endorsing trump.

I'm glad that I wasn't the only person who thought that she looks like Peg Bundy. Her tummy looks like that she could be in mommy mode.
 
Falwell's followers won't care, as they've been buying his bull**** for years.

Looks like he was trying to make a joke.

I wouldn’t want my belly showing like if Inwere overweight, not very attractive.
 
1. Jerry Falwell is a con man televangelist with a big following.

2. Falwell meets Reagan, who is a con man politician with a big following.

3. They realize there's market synergy. Reagan would love to peel of traditionally apolitical and 'help the poor' Christian voters into a right-wing voting block, and abortion and lots of blather about anti-gay and 'family values' and 'morals' can do it.

4. It works, the con man partnership.

5. Falwell, Jr. inherits the con man role. Partners corruptly with trump.

The Liberty University president said he regrets his Instagram post, but said the party was harmless summer fun.

Falwell described the woman in the photo as his “wife’s assistant.” On his Instagram account, Falwell tagged a picture of the woman as Kathleen Stone, who lists on her Facebook account that she works for Liberty University. A university spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“She’s a sweetheart and I should never have put it up and embarrassed her,” Falwell said.

Falwell described the scene leading up to the photo. “She’s pregnant so she couldn’t get her — she couldn’t get her pants up,” he said. “And I was like, trying to like — my — I had on pair of jeans that I hadn’t worn in a long time so I couldn’t get mine zipped either. And so — and so — I just put my belly — I just put my belly out like hers.”

Isn't Mr. Falwell married, or is that his daughter? Just goes to show the hypocrisy of all these evangelical Christians. I never trusted any of them anyway.

I'm generally pretty tolerant of harmless hijinks, and this appears to be some of that. But, I'm remarkably intolerant of rank hypocrisy, and this is definitely some of that.
