With the republican way being to march through the streets chanting anti-black and anti-Jewish slogans and running down innocent people in the street.

It's disconcerting for sure, I think that we need to get a handle on those using violence as some primary tool of "protest". That being said, I think it's the other side who has the higher body count at this point.

If I can be serious a moment...There is something wrong with this country when we are at a point where the argument is "well, the other side is more vile". We need to seriously sit down and work out ways to stop the cycle of vileness.

Some truths we need to recognize:
  • The other side is not evil
  • Republicans are not all racists, or even mostly racists
  • Democrats are not socialists or communists, and don't actually support violence
  • Nobody in the government is trying to kill you
  • If your only argument is how terrible other people are, you are part of the problem(and yes, this statement is somewhat ironic)
  • Liberals, conservatives, democrats,, republicans, even nutty libertarians, we are all united by our love of our country. We should not forget that

Generally, I'd agree with you, but I think you're missing the point of the engineered partisanship. Hyperpartisanship isn't meant to drive conversation or rational thinking, if anything it's the opposite. This is a problem, it's been a problem for some time. Trump has exacerbated the existing problems and divides with the Republic so it seems quite stark at this point. However, it's existed for awhile now and has been promoted and entrenched by the Republocrat Oligarchy.
