Karen Bass ? Would that be a good choice?

Whoever has enough aptitude and capability to run the nation without all the left wing extremism nonsense that can take over when Biden's age catches up with him a little more.

I think he will likely select Kamala Harris. I'd love to see Mayor Pete but that won't happen.
Demings or Duckworth. I’m not a fan of any Californians for VP for what I consider obvious reasons. Besides, I believe Bass and Harris are both compromised.

Duckworth would be a great pick as well.

Alll the way back in the year 15BC right as the Democratic Primaries were getting firing up, Kamala Harris was my first choice. Then I wanted Buttigieg, and finally settled on Warren, who I still believe is the best candidate out of all of them. Well, at least somebody in my pool of preferences may make it.

Provided of course that she will be female and black. Doesn't matter whether she's capable or not.

I don't believe it will be Warren. She is to much to the left and Trump has already shown that that is how he wants to attack Bidén (The "leftie" , an ogre that lure people to their dwellings in the mountains or underground, It is called mountain snatching according to Scandinavian mythology :2wave:)

The most practical argument against Warren is the risk of losing a Democratic Senate seat. There isn't a Democrat on earth Republicans wouldn't call a leftie socialist.

It's all about locking up the black vote and the women vote. Competence has nothing to do with it. Probably a Washington insider player. Susan Rice.

Why did you put an accent over the "e" in Biden?

Susan Rice. and then we will know he is a sellout to the DC insider rule

Why is that being a sellout, could you explicate? To me she seems to be an excellent candidate, she hasn't been an elected politician as far as I understand though. More of an official. What about Stacey Abrams?

For republicans. She is toxic as hell.
An honest R post; thank you.
I'll need to duck from my leftist friends after this post.

I believe that mandatory means-testing should be done for ALL public expenditures, which would be very complicated.
It's the only way to achieve financial solvency and will require sacrifice from all.

I believe in the Israeli policy of giving two years to the government, though with many differences, since their's is for military service.
Think of it as a mandatory AmeriCorps in a person's area of expertise.

The jobs of the future must be imagined now.
I believe in renewable energy, thorium reactors, and the nuclear fusion potentials of the stellarator and tokamak.

Mandatory recycling is the only way we can clean up the mess we've made of the Earth and would be a source of jobs.
As well, we're already seeing landfills being Emptied of metal and natural gas.
Look at the mask and PPE industry -- It's not going away any time soon -- we've seen ocean plastic turned into masks.

Necessary Projects like Infrastructure are known to multiply their way through the economy at an approximate value of 1.7.
It's obvious medical fields are hurting, especially with RNs, CNAs, and NPs.
I only had to teach for two years in Illinois to get full tuition, but that started in 1971.

That's enough for now.
I don't want to go to my grave seeing this Nation like it is, without blame.

Of course. As it should be. Just as the GOP VP pick is "all about locking up" the white evangelical vote. Generally speaking, this is what EVERY VP choice is "all about"...motivating the base and complementing the top of the ticket.

That's why Republican VP choices almost always pay homage to the Evangelical Right. Pence, Palin and Quayle were NO ONE'S idea of "most qualified". Heck, Palin and Quayle weren't anyone's idea of "qualified", for Pete's sake. The only times in the last 40 years that the GOP VP pick was not a pay-off to the Evangelical Right, have been when the top of the ticket (i.e. Reagan and W. Bush) already addressed that issue. Every other GOP VP pick since 1980 has been used to motivate the Evangelical base of the GOP.

So all of this fake pearl clutching from the Gopers right now, about Biden picking a black female, is just another example of the inherent hypocrisy that comes with being a conservative these days.

That's an empty, partisan take, Aurora.

Fortunately, all of the known options are highly competent. So you don't have to worry about that.

Susan Rice would be an excellent choice. As would several others on this list.

Michelle Obama! oops he said a black Female! Q 2024

Elizabeth Warren because she works for everyone. Having a "white woman" pulling for all and she has some history of speaking up for the black population.

Conservative racists will be mean and nasty to any choice but more so to a black person. Obama was always being subjected to racist BS.

Ivana Trump

The best choice would be Condi Rice. She's a black woman, and when Ol' Joe goes full Alzheimer's, we'd have a decent president.

It is about recognizing that Black women are the base of the party.
