Eliminate mail in voting?

What is this? a race to the bottom in posting? So you guys need sockpuppets? INELIGIBLE VOTER (daddy"s in prison) GETS MAILED A BALLOT. HIS BABY MOMMA SCRAWLS HIS NAME ON THE BALLOT AND GIVES IT OT A BALLOT HARVESTER. DONE DEAL.

People are throwing Molotov cocktails at Federal Police Officers on a nightly basis, for months - punishable by life in prison. And you really think they are going to have any qualms about signing dead grandma's name to a ballot - for which there is ZERO chance of getting caught?

Are you people really that naive? That stupid?

You said that prisoners are going to get ballots.

I proved you wrong.

Take some responsibility for being wrong, it goes a long way towards being respected here.

And the stuff about molotov cocktails means nothing to this subject.

Also....you can't call other posters names here.

Are you going to stop making personal attacks on posters that are proving you wrong?

Absolutely Haven't had the opportunity yet. If you are talking about yourself, for some reason, you believe there registration rolls don't contain anyone in prison. Not sure where you got that quaint notion.

So the dead get a ballot. How do the dead vote? You really don't believe someone is voting for all those dead people do you?

My father's name was on the voter rolls for a few years, he did not vote. He was on the vote by mail list, they sent a ballot once, and we destroyed it. My state has voter ID, so no one could have come in and voted for him.

Just another red herring that Rawley is throwing out.

Sorry Beef, you didn't prove ****. Law says they can't vote. Nothing about them being left on the registration rolls and being mailed an invalid ballot.

By all means, please, prove to me that prisoners in California are voting.

You said it, put your money where your mouth is.

Show your work. Otherwise it is just you saying garbage.

Again, how quaint.

If mail in voting leads to voter fraud should we eliminate it for the military?
No problem; there are no Democrats in the military, therefore no cheating.

So, you think that they don't revoke a prisoner's right to vote?

You make these wild accusations that are easily debunked and all you have left is nothing but personal insults.

I showed you the law, I debunked you.

You were wrong, just own up, be responsible and admit it.

Seems theory and reality are at odds on this one.

No, in theory and reality, people voting by mail should account for delays, both in getting ballots they request, and in returning them. Took us a week to get a ballot after requesting it by email/pdf, when mail takes a day from downtown. I dropped it off at the post office, and it was delivered and logged in as received the next day, but that was two weeks ahead of the election, which isn't until tomorrow.

So, yeah, voting by mail takes a little planning, and accounting for delays.

FWIW, I'm not real impressed by their test. All the votes by mail look the same, go to the same place, and there will be many of them. The post offices will throw them all into their own barrel and there's little chance for accidentally stuffing ballots into the wrong PO boxes.

What kills me is Rawley actually thinks the ballots would even been sent to a prison?

:lamo:lamo:lamo

If you're a Republican the answer is simple - does the group tend to vote Republican? If yes, they should be allowed to vote by mail. If not, then **** them, they have to go to the polls.

After all, what good does closing a bunch of polling stations in urban, democratic-leaning areas do if those people can avoid the long lines those closures created on purpose, and vote by mail?
Actually, the question is: is the voter physically unable to vote in person at his designated polling station?

What kills me is that he chastised me for not reading something, but I did, and proved him wrong!:lamo

Hey beef. Read my words very carefully and very slowly. Where did I say prisoners were voting? I said the State was mailing out facially invalid ballots to the dead, to prisoners to people who moved out of state years ago. You, yourself just admitted you received a ballot for your dead dad. You destroyed that ballot. Good for you. Are you really so naive to think there are not some virulent Trump haters, or Dem haters that wouldn't sign the ballot and mail it back in? When there is ZERO chance of being caught?

OMG. Yes, Larry updated his registration with the SOS to indicate Lompoc as his new address.

How do you do that in germany or Afghanistan?
You request an absentee ballot. Every military unit has an appointed "Voting Officer" who has directions for requesting absentee ballots from each state.

Actually, the question is: is the voter physically unable to vote in person at his designated polling station?

In Colorado, the questions is "are you an eligible voter". But we're not ass-backwards and worked out a great mail-in system.

It's revoked by statute. What, you think the judge calls up the SOS and says - I sent Frank to prison, take him off the rolls?

Guess the actual reading part was too tough a a hurdle for you huh? You said you had to request a ballot. That is not the new Democrat mail-in voting scheme. Here in California, Gov. Newsome is mailing out 20,000,000 ballots, where you requested one or not, whether you are dead or not, whether you are prison or not, whether you haven't lived in the state for tens years or not.

You said that prisoner would receive ballots.

I proved you wrong. Prisoners can't receive ballots because they can't be registered voters. I showed you the proof.

Check mate.

That's my point Jasper. The liklihood of you getting caught for mail in voter fraud are ZERO. Let me repeat that - ZERO. How in God's name are they going to catch you? Your fingerprints on the ballot? LOL It's an impossible crime to detect let alone prosecute.

It's quite easy to detect - compare the list of dead people to the list of those voting.

This is a zombie, sad talking point. There's no reason for anyone rational to worry for 1 second about "dead" people voting. If you want to worry, knock yourself out - you do you. The rest of us will worry about real risks, like getting e coli from that green onion in your salad, or slipping and knocking our heads and dying in the shower tomorrow morning.
