... by choosing a Republican woman to be his running mate? I mean, given his age his VP nominee has to be seen as a potential President. Would moderate Republicans sigh with relief and vote the Democratic ticket?
Who would be a good Republican choice?
Are there any Republican women in federal politics?

Absolutely, if he chose Laura Ingraham.

If he had to step down, the Republican would inevitably further load the court to the right. Maybe it would work in another era, when the GOP didn't take the low road at every opportunity.

These are the people who refused to even vote on an Obama nominee for nearly a year, but who say they'll even ram through a lame duck Trump nominee based on yet another made-up bull**** standard.

Interesting. Honestly, maybe, but not enough to make up for the Democrat votes he’d lose.

Yeah, because Dems never load the courts.

Each day I'm more team Tammy Duckworth for VP. Can't go wrong with her, Mr. Biden. She would be a great pick.

That won't happen. He has no choice but to pick the wokest of the woke to prove how woke he is.

True, but I'm wondering if all Republican voters are Trump supporters these days or would some be glad to have a guilt-free way to vote "Not Trump". Give 'em a way to justify voting for the Democrat by telling themselves that Biden can't finish his term so the Republican woman becomes Prez. If the ploy got the Democrats the Senate and the pumpkin-head out of the White House having the Republican of your choice ready to assume the mantle might be a fair trade.
