They have over 72% of the wealth, so that 40% seems a little short, don't you think?

Not really. By what logic does one owe the government money because they made money?

We have a progressive tax system where we tax rich people more. NObody seems to have a problem with that.
It's based on pragmitism, not any kind of fairness. You don't owe more when you pay your restaurant because you make more.

Its been proven that those that are making that kind of money are using significantly more resources than those not making that kind of money. Yes, a broke person might go and get on food stamps, but the amount they are going to get is dwarfed by the need of a Jeff Bezos to have functional infrastructure to transport the goods he makes his billions off of. By that logic, it can be assumed that since they are using more of the infrastructure, they should be responsible for the maintenance of said infrastructure at a higher amount than those using it less.

Simply put, if we are going to tax income at all, then it makes sense that if you are bringing in 72% of the money, you would also be paying 72% of the taxes. That isn't currently happening. They are coming up woefully short.

Just another typical example of democrat/liberal lies. Anyone can make claims but not support them. Your opinions are not facts. America, the greatest democracy in the world with the most free economy and opportunities in existence and the left wants to tear it down.

Capitalism made america wealthy and having millionaires and billionaires is not criminal or bad. Taking someones money that they earned by legal entrepreneurship; is criminal. Every person in America is guaranteed an opportunity nobody is guaranteed a result. Success reflects effort. Stop blaming the system on failure for lack of preparation, lack of effort, lack of determination, and criminal behavior. S.W, S.W, S.W, S.W. Some will, some won't, so what, someones waiting.
