Jim Jorday is an A-Hole

no **** people who really don;t care about this country hate Jim Jordan, no matter what political party they say they are in. THAT is why a lot of people in DC hate Trump.

but Jordan is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. IF democrats gave a **** about the virus they would at least ASK protesters to calm it down at this time, because it is contributing to the spread. Fauci JUST STATED that large gatherings do so.

there IS A REASON dems will ONLY get on churches, businesses and other certain things under their control and it is because they are doing it to affect the election. NO OTHER REASON is logical for their absolute stupidity in addressing this crap.

THEY WANT economic problems right now, they WANT certain people cooped up at home right and they want the people THEY CHOOSE to be out there protesting and rioting for the mere reason they can say this is Trump's america.

that is the ONLY reason this crap continues to go on. because they allow it. Trump's america was going too well for them, they knew they needed to throw gas on the fire, and they got lucky with coronavirus... or for now we will call it luck.

Which is why he deflected from Jordan's questions. He doesn't want to offend democrats or BLM. If he stated the protesters need to cease due to high risks, the hell he would face would be epic. Nothing will interfere with BLM's agenda.

Except he did say that, and his comments are posted in this very thread.

Another cop out post. Presidents are generally more popular during times of crisis. Stop making excuses why Trump is too stupid to not be cruising towards reelection right now.

Please don't call republicans scummy when you have the group of Nadler, Schiff, Pelosi, Schumer, AOC, Omar, and so so many more in your house.

I only see people that have spoken the truth about Trump, that's what irks you. Can't have the truth about your Donny out there 'cause it's bad, very bad. You, of course, have an agenda that abhors the truth about Donald Trump coming to light, we got it.

You cannot have it both ways. A president that is incapable of setting policy for the States on the virus and a president that sends in Federal agents to a State to enforce law and order.

That makes no sense. The President's powers and responsibilities are what they are. Declining to impose a one-size-fits-all national approach to police the behavior of individual citizens to combat a virus is a totally different thing than a sending FEDERAL agents to protect FEDERAL property.

Policy is required from the top person in charge of the country.

No it's not. Apparently it wasn't required for NY. If the governors aren't capable of running their states without the president telling them what to do, perhaps they should quit.

In fact his recommendation was for states NOT to impose closures, not to recommend wearing masks.

Which governors are free to ignore. It's local law enforcement that would need to enforce a mask requirement, so there's no need or point in the President mandating it.

If he would have done all of that, then the blame for those states that did not follow the policy guidelines would fall on the governors and not on the president.

It can and still does. It's the governors' responsibility. Full stop.

Nonetheless, he did send Federal troops to fight protesters without the State of Oregon asking the president for them. In simple words,, he forced himself on the State to combat riots but did nothing for the State to fight the virus. Again, you cannot have it both ways.

To protect federal property.

Jordan is never more happy than when he's swinging from the chandeliers during hearings.

Just more distracting, corrupt, Trump style nonsense.

Jim Jordan is an A-Hole that has no respect for anyone and argues inarguable points and comes up with statements that are demeaning without addressing the topic discussed.

Here is a video of what happened between Jordan and Fauci today in the Congressional meeting where Fauci was being asked questions.

By the way, even die hard Republicans have problems with Jordan.

Why do we elect (and re-elect) idiots like this that offer nothing but fights and strife and offer nothing of value?

He's a cowardly trump ass-kisser. His immoral ignoring of criminality goes back to his college wrestling days when he enabled rape.

Neither one of you listened to what Fauci said. He said that gathering in large groups and not wearing a mask contributed to the acquisition and transmission, not simply being there. He said it no less than 6 times. Jordan didn't listen, and apparently neither did you. Go Google pictures of a BLM rally and a Trump rally and tell me what the main difference is. I'll give you a hint....in one set of pictures, the vast majority of people are masked up and in the others they won't be.

there IS A REASON dems will ONLY get on churches, businesses and other certain things under their control and it is because they are doing it to affect the election. NO OTHER REASON is logical for their absolute stupidity in addressing this crap.

Church services are allowed here so long as proper social distancing is being observed and that people are wearing masks during the service. I'm not sure what the hell the problem is with being required to wear a mask. Its really not that hard.....wanna go to church or run amok in the streets, please wear a mask while doing either.

THEY WANT economic problems right now, they WANT certain people cooped up at home right and they want the people THEY CHOOSE to be out there protesting and rioting for the mere reason they can say this is Trump's america.

This IS Trumps America.

No, it goes on because idiots refuse to do simple things to help it taper to an end. You know, like wearing a mask?

Yeah, the kind of slime you really don't want in a position of power. I guess there's a lot of pedophiles and enablers in his district.

In a scale of partisan bull**** depth, Schiff and Nader are far deeper and smellier.

Its a shame Gym Jordan did not do more to protect his students from a sexual predator. But he will go out of his way to protect Rump. Yup he is a scumbag.

I saw that exchange. Fauci clearly said that ANY gathering of people was dangerous and Jordan didn't like his answer. If I was Fauci I would have responded to Jordan's question about whether or not the government should restrict protests by saying that "I though it was the right of people to peacefully protest Senator. And outdoor gatherings are safer than the one your boss held in Tulsa. I trust that answers your question".

The president is the leader of the country and as such, he needs to show executive leadership for everything that happens to our country:

Executive leadership is the ability of those who manage or direct employees in an organization to influence and guide these individuals. Those leading executive leadership processes typically oversee such business activities as fulfilling organizational goals, strategic planning development and overall decision making.

Trump's outrageous refusal to lead is making the pandemic worse

Trump's refusal to use his full powers of his office and the government to confront the worst domestic threat since World War II is looking more negligent, callous and politically self-defeating with each virus ravaged day that passes.

Bottom line, Trump has failed in his role as leader of the country. He has not done what was in his capacity and ability to do. He did not set policy, he did not set guidelines, and he did not do what was in his power to do to make the pandemic easier.

This has nothing to do with the Governors and the rights of the States. Yes, they can do what they feel is right even if different from what the overall policy of the executive office is but there needs to be an overall policy recommendation from the leader of the country as to what is the best approach to the pandemic. If that wasn't necessary then what is a president for? We are one nation, not 52 nations. There is 1 leader and not 52 leaders. There needs to be a national policy though each state can decide whether to follow or not.

End of story

The American people are ultimately responsible. We get the country we deserve. The deteriorating education system in this country helps explain how utter fools like Jim Jordan and Donald Trump get elected to office.

It's unfathomable to me that anyone can still vote for a Republican, after what has occurred in this country for the past 20 years. The Republican Party is no longer a "normal" political party and they will not change their behavior until the American people force them to do it. That has not happened yet, but maybe it will in November.

Nonsense. The president is the leader of the executive branch of the federal government, and the federal government has a limited role to play in running our country. If he's supposed to make all our policies, what do we need governors for?

If not having a leader for the nation in all crisis and events, what is the need for a president? Lets forget about voting for a leader and key on voting for the leader of each State!

Sorry Tirmin, I totally disagree with you. You are entitled to your opinion as I am to mine. Let us just say that we disagree and leave it at that. Bottom line, the president is a leader and the definition of leadership responsibilities is very clear. Whether you have a legal point or not, it is up to others more knowledgeable to discuss. Nonetheless, we are a nation and what happens to our nation as a whole, has to fall on someone's shoulders and having 52 governors would then mean that we would have to make all 52 governors in masse responsible for the ills of the nation (not just of their States). That can never work. As such, the ills or the benefits to the nation as a whole have to fall on one person's shoulders as that is the only way future problems can be addressed successfully.

Nonetheless, we have been around this statement for several posts now and we cannot agree on it. As such, I am not going to discuss it with you anymore as we are wasting each others time. Lets just say that we agree to disagree.

In November the people will decide whether you are right or I am right. Evidently, the handling of the virus is going to be one of the main topics that will decided who is the winner.

If not having a leader for the nation in all crisis and events, what is the need for a president?

Having a leader in a crisis is not equivalent to expecting that leader to micromanage what every local government does every day. We have an entire executive branch agency called the CDC that puts out guidelines for state governments to use or not use at their option.

Bull, he said "crowding, particularly when you are not wearing a mask, can contribute to the spread of the virus"... it CAN spread even though you wear a mask with close contact and there are PLENTY f protesters who haven't been wearing masks.

Man, you didn't even pay attention to the words YOU WROTE.

To the part above in red....WHEN NOT WEARING A MASK.....those words mean something. He didn't say that you couldn't catch it even if you were wearing one, but that NOT wearing one would significantly increase the risk.

But lets not make this about what Fauci said. Lets not get off the subject that Gym Shorts was doing his level best to turn what Fauci said into some sort of attack on the Christian faith when there was no such thing going on.

To the part in blue......I again direct you to my challenge about looking at pictures of the two types of events. Yes, you will see the occasional protester not wearing a mask, but for the most part, they are the exception, not the rule. On the other hand, at the typical Trump rally, the non masked seem to be the rule and not the exception. As for the church services that Jordan seemed to have his panties in a wad about....as I stated about services where I live.....if they follow social distancing guidelines and make people wear masks, there are no other limitations to people worshipping. Its only a problem if you want to be the idiot who doesn't want to wear a mask. Jordan knows that is the case in the overwhelming portion of cases, but chose to be his usual asshole self and act as if Fauci was putting out a fatwa on Christians.

Ass.

Bull, he said "crowding, particularly when you are not wearing a mask, can contribute to the spread of the virus"... it CAN spread even though you wear a mask with close contact and there are PLENTY f protesters who haven't been wearing masks.

Can we stipulate that regardless of the occasion-be it a protest, a political rally, a funeral or whatever it is-that its disrespectful, dangerous, and plain wrong not to wear a mask at all times indoors (except for in your own home when only members you are living with are present) and outdoors whenever you cannot keep a minimum of six feet from other people? Those are the CDC recommendations. In order to be consistent those rules should apply to EVERYONE.

Jim Jordan is a traitor to his country. Scum.
