1980's Liberal Activist Issues Dire Warning That BLM Is Fanning A Race War!

....... BLM is merely a Marxist cult that has hypnotically mesmerized into seduction many emotionally immature and thus gullible Gen. Z kids and other weak-minded people merely by spouting "racism" rhetoric that lacks factual backing ......

BLM is Marxist???? A cult???? That has seduced Gen.Z into thinking there is racism in the US?????

Well, that certainly clears things up....... and all along I've been thinking Blacks were just tired of getting killed by cops. Good to know it just a misguided Marxist cult and we don't have to worry about silly stuff like cops choking Blacks until dead, or shooting to kill DWB, or wiping out little Black kids with a toy gun, or planting evidence on Blacks shot in the back.

Have we ever learned the name of this supposed liberal activist author?

Is this supposed to be an argument? Large cities have lots of school districts. Some are located in wealthy neighborhoods and as a result have large budgets, while others located in poor neighborhoods and are under funded. The gap between these two realities in America is somewhere in the billions last time I looked.

The fact that Baltimore city schools spend more per student than the other 97 of the 100 largest school systems reflects directly on the city officials that decide where the money is allocated within the city. Baltimore city board of commissioners are appointed positions, and Baltimore city council and Mayor, all democrats. You said "community leaders with a limited ability to fix a situation that needs to be handled on a state or federal level." Once it gets to the city powers that be, it is them and people appointed by them that decide where it is allocated. The money is there, it's either being squandered, or stolen.

It's not necessarily being squandered or stolen. It is hugely expensive to maintain a dysfunctional system with buildings that are beyond their useful life. The system didn't get this way over night. It is the result of decades of discrimination, underfunding, refusing repairs, and ignoring the segregation between haves and have nots. It is as much a class problem as a race problem. And again, it didn't happen overnight.

You should read a little more on the issue. Spending in Baltimore is 97 out 100 largest school districts but there are over 13,000 school districts in the United States and when compared to all school districts Baltimore is middle of the pack in per student spending and that number is going to drop more when you're talking about poorer school districts in Baltimore.

Your close. You are correct about them being Marxists. They've stated that publicly, so it isn't in dispute. Their use of the race card, however, isn't to " seduce Gen.Z into thinking there is racism in the US". The MSM has already done that. BLM is using racism to give them cover. It's quite effective. Consider the Obama administration. If you disagreed with Obama on anything, you were labeled a racist. The press dared not criticize him, lest they be labeled racist. These Marxists learned from that. They observed for 8 years, how effective the race card is, and the fear it strikes in the hearts those labeled as such. So now, we see BLM doing anything they want, from assaulting police, to burning down government buildings, with no fear. They know the media will carry water for them, and attack anyone who dares to criticize.

They were compared to other large cities, so as not to compare apples to oranges. Comparing them to a small town, or counties would be just that.

That's for sure. It's been on a downward spiral for the past 50 years.

Yes, BLM is merely a Marxist cult that has hypnotically mesmerized into seduction many emotionally immature and thus gullible Gen. Z kids and other weak-minded people merely by spouting "racism" rhetoric that lacks factual backing and much of which has been proven false, whipping people into a hysterical frenzy to commit bullying, rioting, looting, assault and murder in the streets of America.

This sounds like the crap Goebbels used to spout.

Is Baltimore's per-pupil spending really the 'fourth highest' in the nation? - Baltimore Sun

Here's a bit more information if you're interested. It isn’t an apples to apples comparison, thats a little misleading. And I was wrong, they arent even middle of the road. In per student spending when compared to all school districts out of 13,000 they are around 2,000 on the list.

And the fiction-based hysteria from the left continues ... .

Exactly. Even when compared to every school district in the country, which is ridiculous, they are still in the upper 10% in spending. Look, the last three mayors were either removed, arrested or forced to resign for corruption. The city has been terribly mismanaged and is loosing residents, hence, revenue by the thousands each year. It was once a bustling city of nearly a million residents, and now we have a little more than half that. We've been on a downward spiral for the last 50 years. Like it or not, the buck stops at the city leadership. They've dropped the ball, yet the finger pointing continues. Remember, it was a Baltimore mayor that set the mold for the new method of riot control in 2015. Just stand back and give them room to riot. (paraphrasing), but not far from spot on.

No, they aren't in the upper 10% of spending. Again, when compared to all school districts, Baltimore comes in a round 2000 out of 13,000 in per student spending. Now, I'm not from Baltimore, so maybe there has been local mismanagement, that doesn't change the fact that not having federal funding for public schools and leaving it up to the States and property taxes to fund them results in underfunded minority schools that's sees a wealth gap of 23 billion dollars between affluent, predominately white schools and the rest.

So they are in the top 15% - 20%. There shouldn't be 13 schools without a single student proficient in math. And 6 more with only 1% of the students proficient. I don't think money is the issue. That's half of the public schools in the city. Check out this guy Pannell, on the link. He opened a charter school for boys. They extended the school day one hour, but shortened class duration. I wish I could've done that!. The results are impressive. This is from the link. Watch the video if you can. It's very inspiring.

"“Nine out of ten black boys in Baltimore City are not reading at grade level,” added Pannell.

That grim statistic, lead Pannell to open his north Baltimore school three years ago. As the name implies, in these halls, there are no girls. "

"“They tend to stay very focused on their studies,” he stated, with a smile.

The charter school also has no entrance exams. What it does have is a school day extended by one hour, a teaching staff that is 60 percent male and shorter class periods. All of it tailored to how boys learn.

“We designed this school to make a fundamental difference in the lives of mostly black and brown boys in the city,” said Pannell.

That design appears to be working. Since 2015, the number of Baltimore Collegiate’s boys who scored proficient in state math tests spiked by 60 percent. In 2016, nine percent of students were proficient. This year, 14.4 percent were proficient."

“No,” replied Pannell, when asked if he was happy with the results. “I mean, we can do better.”

This was from 2017. I'll bet they've improved each year. Of course I agree, we can always use more money to improve our school infrastructure, but quality education is a lot more complex than that. I understand your point though.:peace
