Trump is the most corrupt and dangerous president that I've seen in my lifetime. He puts himself above our country and its people, those who still support him are as selfish and anti-American as he is.

Here are the indisputable facts:

  1. Trump and his campaign asked for Russia’s help in the 2016 presidential race. ("Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing"; "If it's what you say, I love it.")
  2. Trump and his campaign got that help — in a contest decided by fewer than 80,000 votes in three states. ("Boy, I love reading those WikiLeaks.”)
  3. Roger Stone lied about his contacts with Russian intelligence and WikiLeaks. (“He lied about the identity of his intermediary to WikiLeaks. He lied about the existence of written communications with his intermediary. He lied by denying he had communicated with the Trump campaign about the timing of WikiLeaks’ releases,” Mueller wrote in his op-ed.)
  4. The president commuted Stone’s prison sentence, despite White House aides disagreeing with the move. (“Roger Stone is a victim of the Russia Hoax that the Left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine the Trump Presidency,” the White House said on Friday.)
  5. And Stone admitted his objective was protecting Trump. (“[Trump] knows I was under enormous pressure to turn on him. It would have eased my situation considerably. But I didn’t,” Stone told NBC News analyst Howard Fineman before his sentence was commuted.)

Sad but true.

No hoax: Why the Russia investigation remains one of Trump'''s biggest scandals

I agree with you, but I am curious what you think of the counterargument that Former President Obama and his administration started investigating Russian collusion with his predecessor prior to leaving office? Do you feel that was at all corrupt? Do you think members of the staff who continued on and worked in The White House for both presidents, those who allegedly hindered President Trump's transition, did anything wrong?

I try to look at things from both sides, and I have not really heard non Trump supporters speak on the above much other than to say it is preposterous.

I remember when Obama asked for Russia's help getting reelected and nobody on the left cared.

Doing anything wrong is relative. Given that they saw what many of us were unable to see until we had some time with Trump, I believe that whatever they did was in an effort to reduce the negative impact of Trump. Therefor I don't believe they did anything wrong.

As Trump supporters have said a million times here and elsewhere, point to a crime Trump has committed. Well, point to a crime Obama's admin committed during the transition. None found yet. What ever Durham is working on is just a smoke screen to be released prior to the election. No one will ever be charged and it won't work.

Can you provide some links or video to support this lie? I never saw or heard it. Rush may have have told you that, but we know what Rush is. A racist liar.

yawn...

NBC regurgitating 5 year old spin.

1. He was not asking for Russia's help. He was making a point about the press.

2. Everyone loved reading those WikiLeaks. Including the media. (Well, some of the media. Others, like little Cuomo, didn't. In fact, he tried to con people into thinking it was against the law to read those emails...except for him, that is.)

3. As with Flynn, Mueller targeted Stone with nonsense, concocted charges. And that corrupt Judge sealed the deal.

4. Trump is correct about why he commuted Stone's sentence...and screw those aides. It was Trump's decision to make...not theirs.

5. Stone wasn't the only one who didn't roll over and give the Mueller team a bunch of lies about Trump. That means Stone is a man of integrity.

I remember when Obama asked for Russia's help getting reelected and nobody on the left cared.

Can you provide that verifiable evidence for this claim?

Still pushing and rehashing the phony Russian Collusion hoax? Poor democrats have nothing to run on in 2020 so this is the crap they push!
And look at the democratic nominee. I can not remember my name Joe Biden!

Here are the indisputable facts:

Mueller Report, Volume I, page 66, second paragraph:
[In particular,] the investigation examined whether these contacts involved or resulted in coordination or a conspiracy with the
Trump Campaign and Russia, including with respect to Russia providing assistance to the Campaign in exchange for any sort of favorable treatment in the future. Based on the available information, the investigation did not establish such coordination.

I'm still annoyed by Mueller. He had the chance to clearly state a conclusion about his investigation. He didn't. He could have looked into Trump's financial documents. He didn't. He was a total failure as an investigator. He allowed Trump and Barr to just spin things as they wanted and trash everything they investigated.

Don't be so harsh on Mueller. It really wasn't his investigation. He was just a figurehead who didn't even really know what was going on...or why.

Is it that there are no competent intelligent conservatives that you guys need to support idiots like Trump and Sarah Palin. We thought Sarah Palin was rock bottom then came Trump. Why can't you just find someone more competent than a guy who starts twitter wars with celebrities and tweets misspelled nonsense? Is Trump really the best you can do? Is a man who suggests injecting disinfectants and using UV lights in the body, your best?

if republican senators would have put country ahead of party, trump would have been long gone....

Wrong.

If Republican Senators had put country ahead of money/power, Trump would have gotten more accomplished.

(It's too much to hope that the Dems would even consider putting the country ahead of money/power.)

that the republican majority in the senate was afraid to go against Trump for fear of losing their seats was the only thing that saved trump....

Of course. They had a good read on what their voters were thinking: That the Dems could not succeed in their politically motivated impeachment nonsense.

Believe me, if they thought they could get away with it without losing their money/power, they would have sided with the Dems in a heartbeat.

If they affirmed the impeachment it would have been over for the GOP, if not America as a whole. Outside the propagandists in the press and the rabid anti-Trumpers Americans knew damned well that nothing shady went down in that call. They knew damned well that Schiff concocted the story out of whole cloth and they saw the way the Democrats ran with the story. A lot of them started to think, "If they do this to Trump then who's next?".

With all due respect, there is a rather significant difference between, "Russia engaged in tactics designed to influence the US election" and "Trump was complicit, or even knowledgeable, of the Russian attempts to influence the election".

I used to think that at some point the Democrats would do a little personal reflection and come to realize that the American people, on the whole, don't like to be lectured regarding how "deplorable" they are. I no longer think that. I now think that the Democrats consider themselves to be a superior breed, destined to rule the world and that all who oppose them are their enemies. The Democrats have gone full blown communist.

"The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities." -the Mueller report.

I ain't makin' this **** up. ;)

LOL, nonsense. First point, makes a farce out of th whole thing, Second is laughable. Mueller is laughable. He's trying to defend the miserable job he and his henchmen did. NBC junk-journalism at its finest.

Hold on. For suggesting a liberal thought I am lectured about fascism, racism, history, economics.

There is a dislike in the disagreement and no respect.

There is a difference.

Please don't pretend that conservatives/GOP are willing to talk respectfully and admit when they are wrong.

I willingly admit that there are conservative Republicans way smarter than I. I also know liberal Democrats way smarter.

What happened with Russia is nerve racking. Yes, I believe mistakes were made by Democrats. I also know trump flaunted traditional norms and made statements that created red flags.

It is politics so neither side is innocent.
