This morning, on CNN they were showing the big difference in the death rate curves of the Virus here and in the rest of the world and there is no doubt that we are running way, way, way above what is being seen in many other big countries.
In the link below, you will find an interactive chart that allows you to see the death toll being seen here versus any other country in the world on a day to day basis.
Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) – the data - Our World in Data
I found this link after seeing on CNN this morning that there are places such as South Korea that have not had any (0) deaths from Covid for a month. They showed other countries where less than 3 deaths per day have occurred during the last month. In some of the countries that got hit the strongest, they are now showing less than 20 deaths per day. We are seeing in excess of 800 deaths per day. In the CNN report, they also showed the reasons why these countries have "beat" Covid-19 by timely testing, proper approach to the pandemic (such as social distancing and masks) and by proper use of medicines and hospitals available.
In this same chart you can see countries like Italy and Spain, which were the least prepared and got hit the most, are seeing an average of less than 20 deaths per day for the past month, whereas we are seen an average of over 800 deaths per day. Even Germany, who has the same kind of political situation as we have in the U.S has been seeing less than 10 deaths per day the past month. That means we are seeing 800% more deaths than Germany and that is not something that can be explained away rationally.
This is proof that Trump has not handled the pandemic competently. We should actually be the leaders of the world in pandemic response and we are running way behind most everyone.
Adding insult to injury, is the fact that as few as a few days ago, Trump was still saying that "we are in a good place" and that if it wasn't for his handling of the crisis better than anyone else in the world, we would have many more deaths. Does he believe we are so stupid as to believe what he says, especially when data facts are readily available?
In this video that occurred 3 days ago, Trump boasts about his handling of the virus.
Facts are not bearing his statements as being true. His handling of the pandemic is proving to be about the worst of any other leader in the world.
Are people that support Trump so blind to facts and numbers that they believe him? Why can't they see that this cannot be explained away with any other explanation than "Total Incompetency"?
