Less than 1% of the stimulus package went towards education.
:
Why is that? And we are still talking about $20 billion

His “process” has no more than a month to come up with an answer or it’s going to be a mess in the fall. Golf this weekend?
He CAN lead them like past presidents but it will have an impact on his rally and golf time.
Trump is the jackass pressing for school openings. Just like he pressed states to reopen far too quickly.
How has that worked out?

I hope the education establishment doesn't pretend that the full money provided (for supplies, regular budget concerns due to shortfalls, etc) overrides many of the inherent barriers to safety during this crisis. We're still taking about scores of kids and staff in one room, hallways, bathrooms, breathing the same air.
Agreed.First, states need to decide if they are going to open their schools or not.
Next, if they need financial help, their Congressional Representatives...House and Senate...need to create proposals in their respective chambers.
And finally...if all THAT gets done, Congress can send an aid package to the President.
We'll see if any of that gets done.
There needs to be a baseline applicable to all states. Each individual state can tailor them to their needs.btw, why do states need guidelines from the feds? Can't they create their own? After all, they know better the conditions in their own states.
I seriously doubt that schools will open this fall.
Even if some do, they won’t stay open long.
It's not Trump's process. It's the Constitution's process...and it starts with Congress.
That means Congress has no more than a month to come up with an answer.
‘Big Mess’ Looms if Schools Don’t Get Billions to Reopen Safely | The New York Times
As President Trump and others push to get students back in the classroom this fall, educaters say they need more support and clearer guidelines.
Akin to the failed and tragic state reopenings, the federal government has put precious few financial/material resources into reopening school systems this fall.

Nancy Pelosi must really hate kids.
Im sure dumbass liberals will blame Trump because thats all they know how to do.
The democrats in the house have already proposed something. Do we agree that it's the republicans and the president who need to now come to the plate?
schools always need more money no matter how much they get. As being a teacher from a family of teachers I can attest to that
couldn't be because he was deserving of the blame
He has nothing to do with local schools
weren't you turned out from that teaching position?
Trump is not a king. He can't tell Congress what to do.
which one?
how many were you terminated from?
four.
But he is orders hools to open with out consulting congress. I thought he was king
