No because the consitution has protections in it to stop people tax returns from being made public.
it has protections in it to stop people from being abused by the government.

You evidently do not realize that the constitution was meant as a protection against the government.
It is ok most leftist don't understand what the constitution is for either.

It boggles the mind that a man deemed wise enough to be President of the US can't at least begin to suspect that when NONE of his accusations against the previous administration have any action taken during his own handpicked administration, that MAYBE it's because his accusations don't hold water? Or aren't criminal?

Trump is angry when the SC just cut him a big favor and made sure his secrets stay secret until after the election, so of course the whataboutisms begin. What happens if he loses those cases is another matter, but he'll keep it tied up in the courts for as long as he can, like a condemned man on death row. The true irony will be if after all those records are released, it is found there is nothing amiss. Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi will still snipe about what they see as problems, whether the courts do or not, but it is just possible, you know, that his accountants know what they're doing and that there is nothing there....

Trump lost did he? I thought everything was still up in the air pending more litigation. If he get's re-elected it's a moot point anyway. Guess the Democrat tin foil hats will have to wait a bit longer to prove he's been on Putin's payroll all this time.

While most won't recognize it...DonDon has been corn-holed. Ultimately, the NYDA is going to eat him alive. Donald has probably pushed any real rulings past the election, but eventually he is screwed. He knows it which is why he is not such a happy camper today.

A century ago, about a decade after the income tax was created, there was a scandal involving presidential finances and Congress passed this law directly to ensure Congress could see anyone's tax returns it wanted, no reason required, including the president's. That's not "public". I can't remember whether the Supreme Court has ruled on it, but the courts have never ruled against it in that century.

The SCOTUS decision may save us from a corrupt future President, either party. And if there is a Democrat President as corrupt, is in a constant hide the truth, obstructs justice and lies daily as trump, well bring on the rule of law.

If it's after the election, it doesn't matter. If Trump gets re-elected he'll be immune from any prosecution. The Cons won't impeach him no matter what they find in his returns. And I don't really care what happens to Trump after he loses the election. I just want him gone.

In terms of getting him gone the courts have allowed Trump to run out the clock. Our system is totally broken. Why can't they sit down and decide these things in a week? Justice delayed is justice denied.

We've been denied justice.

To some extent correct but not entirely.

This is the Manhattan DA we are talking about here. Once Vance gets his teeth into DonDon's ankle he is not going to let go. DonDon and his idiot family has plenty of misdeeds to pay for in NY and I don't see the City flipping politically anytime soon. Plus Vance is pissed off.

As it is in most cases where the State and Federal Prosecutors have a dog in the fight, Vance stood down allowing the Feds to carry the ball. The Feds literally dropped the case without telling anybody including Vance, who would have gotten back into the case far sooner if he had known the field was clear for him. He smells a rat and in truth there are plenty of rats in Bill Barr's DOJ. Vance is going to take that out on Donny, his idiot sons and the entire rotten to the core Trump empire.

I laugh at something that stupid. Before Trump ran for president-no one claimed he was stupid. I had a law professor noting that Biden was a dolt in 1983. Biden has been criticized as a dullard for going on fifty years

Are you kidding? People in this part of the country who know Trump from his NY days know that he's an idiot and a bigot when comes to governance and public policy. We also knew that he was corrupt and has always gamed the system. We knew what this country was in for the day after the election. And our worst fears about him have come to pass and now it's all unraveling like a ball of yarn running down a hillside. And really given the quality of your posts, your endorsement of your law school professor opinions would not appear to carry much weight. Biden has gone up against some of the best debaters there is and has always more than held his own with all of them. Biden would destroy Trump in a debate.

I find almost everything you say about Trump to be nonsense. Biden's a moron. He flunked the Delaware Bar, he was bottom of his class in college and at a third rate law school. I guess we will see who wins the debates won't we
