OK right wingers, time to prove your mettle. Governing.

Having trouble expressing yourself?

They do it so well. There are a lot of Republicans against Trump's re-election, who will be voting for him in 2020? The group who thinks the left planted a worldwide virus as a hoax? Those who think masks will kill them? Do you think that's a large enough base to give him the win in 2020? I don't.

We have all heard the right wingers saying that all that is bad, evil, hateful, wrong, dangerous is DEMOCRAT. The cities that have trouble, cuz rural areas are great, are all run by DEMOCRATS.

So, tell us how YOU will fix the cities, once YOU are in charge.

Tell us precisely how you go about UNDOING the DEMOCRAT screwups.

And dont say we ruined things too bad to fix.

You have told us it is TOTALLY down to liberal values. So FIX IT.

LOL at least y'all admit the incompetency and failure to properly lead your cities and states for the past 60 years. Now all y'all need to do is profusely apologize for royally screwing up and discontinue these ungodly acts of destruction and stop the promotion of broken, non-conservative families.

I'm NOT going to look. You claimed it, you produce it.

I claimed in a response to another poster that stated that Minneapolis wanted to resolve the police. If you are going to engage in others conversations, know all of the facts

You need to temper your 4th hand opinions a bit more.

First of all Minneapolis used to be called Murderapolis in the early 90s. Iirc, all major cities had higher violent crime and homicide rates then. So we are at least better than that period. The adage that things generally are better rings true. The narrative that things are so bad and will take for ever to be straightened out is highly suspect.

Second, "disbanding police forces" is at this point either a grossly dishonest or ignorant oversimplification. I dont gaf what your fav pundit is spinning, there is zero consensus on the left or on the city councils that we can simply eliminate the police and problem solved. They have plans to replace it with something. Dont ask or cry at me about it. Wait for a plan to be implemented somewhere and give the local governments a chance to respond to their problem. It was poor messaging for some to come out and say defund the police. It's even worse reporting for the right wing to hang on to those words so long and lie to their viewerships about the evolution of the conversation.

What Minneapolis is thinking, and I'm in an area code of minneapolis, seems to be that they tried a number of reforms starting sometime in the obama years and they didnt produce results preventing the recent problems. So they seem to think that the current system is unreformable, must be broken down and rebuilt to some degree. The have the right and power to do it. They have the support of many people in the minneapolis area to look into doing it. And if you dont live here you really shouldn't care that much what we are doing. We are pissed our community member was murdered. We are pissed the police union worked hard to protect the bad cops showing up in news recently.

One simply could not be more dishonest at this point than saying "the left wants to get rid of police". either dishonest to yourself or others.

I don't need to temper anything with regard to city governance. If cutting funding to police suits you, go ahead and do it. It's your city and you have to live with the consequences - not me.

I have listened for decades now as the political lwft has arrogantly asserted that only they know how such things should be done, and this current mess is the result. So fix it yourself. Good luck.

Don't know about Left or Right as there is no Left nor Right party. But at least the Dems WANT to govern. The last Republicans that give a rats behind about governing are leaving the GOP. What remains are politickers and power grabbers. That is it.

Ha thanks for agreeing with me. So it's back to complaining from the sideline about things far out of your domain for you huh?

SO are you saying that Seattle, Chicago, NY, Detroit, etc are not run by democrats? YOu need to kind of justify yourself on this one.

So, tell us how YOU will fix the cities, once YOU are in charge.

This takes a multiple step approach, and it takes a very long time to fix cultural damage.
first you have to change the culture. However the basic things that need to be done is.

1. Overall of the public schools system more so in urban inner city area's were the kids face huge challenges in even getting to school need to be addressed.
2. There needs to be a huge community effort between law enforcement and the black community to clean their neighbors of the gangs that are causing 99% of their issues.
3. There needs to be huge emphasis on the 3 basic things that will put anyone into the middle class.
A Finishing high school and getting training in a trade or at least an AA degree.
B Teach responsibility of not getting pregnant while you are a teen and having kids out of wedlock.
C better job assistant programs to get them full time jobs.

Many of the issues these kids face are not systemic they are cultural. A black person that does well in business and does well in the professional
atmosphere are seen as traitors. THis is a cultural issue not a systemic one.

Tell us precisely how you go about UNDOING the DEMOCRAT screwups.

HOld people accountable for their actions and teach them that personal responsibility and personal choices are largely their fault
and no one makes those choices for them. Instead democrats blame every body else and their brother.

Ensure that there is economic opportunity in business growth and business development for those that want them which is one thing trump has done.

And dont say we ruined things too bad to fix.
You have told us it is TOTALLY down to liberal values. So FIX IT.

To fix it these people need to elect us to begin with.

I haven't complained here at all. In fact, it was the OP that offered the notion our cities might be screwed up. I concurred, but suggested that those who broke it ought to fix it. You know, accepting responsibility for failure is a sign of maturity, and the first step toward a salvation of sorts.

I've also mentioned that I'm not intimately involved in the plight of our big cities. I don't live in them or near them, and have no voice in their governance as a result. It's pretty hard to take me to task for urban failure.
