Try looking at the video on the OP link. He points the bullhorn exactly at 3 little children at a distance of approximately 4 feet. 6 second mark.

A megaphone is 100 dbs plus at 6 feet. Every 1o decibles doubles the loudness. He was closer than 6 feet.

Good for the church there is nothing wrong with raffling off a firearm as long as the recipient is legally allowed to own one.

I have looked at that video. Nobody is being violently assaulted, the bullhorn was not directed at the children and nobody has claimed disability. This would be the kind of pastor that would make a great deal of media ready news if any child in his congregation sustained a disability. So far, no news.

This pastor is preaching violence, he says the races should be separated, he is giving away AR-15s (yes they have had more than one AR-15 raffle at this church) and you call the protestors violent and imply they might throw gasoline on church goers and light a match.

Seek help!!!

Raffling a hunting rifle is perfectly reasonable in UpState NY. Deer hunting is excellent. It wasn't a hunting rifle and it was raffled in conjunction with rants from the pastor about separating the races and assorted "the gov't coming to git you". The focus was not deer hunting.

Who said anything about deer hunting or any type of hunting? I know I didn’t. I simply commented that there is nothing wrong with a church choosing to raffle off a firearm assuming whoever wins can legally own that firearm.

I neither said nor implied that you said anything about hunting. Is there some reason I can't respond to your post? Th preacher who raffled off the guns had a great deal to say about the guns, and conspiracies. When criticized he said the guns were for hunting.

I have often posted I like liberals but truly despise all progressives. That is my real personal opinion.

What I read on this forum is one of many reasons why. This thread an exact example.

A white man dressed in black pretending to be black, screams into the ears of 3 little children with a megaphone at a distance of 4 feet - very likely causing a permanent hearing lose disability for 1 or more them. For that, they can never join the military, will be ineligible for many jobs, will experience ridicule for needing hearing aids, all the dangers of limited hearing - the list is long.

PREDICTABLY, apparently not ONE progressive on this forum on this thread has any problem with attacking little children and their mother like that if it might be in support of their agenda. Yet that is what I see - and all I see - on the video. Everything else it trivial and irrelevancy to ME.

No words can describe my hatred of men who physically abuse and assault children (particularly) and women. Although increasingly in my past, I hurt MANY men for abusing a child(ren) or a woman. For a short list, as much as anyone can be hurt - and the rest to lesser degrees. For nearly all, minimally it meant a trip to the hospital. Although again this in my past, I have a very long "rap" sheet for such matters - but do not have so much as a parking ticket on my record of convictions nor ever put on trial. Often questioned. A few times held in jail for the investigation. But I acted as lawyers advised as an adult, never used a weapon, and as an adult was careful not to actually kill such men. Just hurt them vastly more than who they had or were hurting. But no reason to give details.

My opposition to progressives, my defining progressivism as corporate fascism identical to Nazism in the mid 1930s Germany is not hyperbole. It is my evolved opinion based upon facts, what I can see on video footage, what I read of progressives on this forum, and hear and read from progressives on TV and online.

The sub silentio approval of or apathy by progressives on this thread towards screaming into little children and their mother's ears with a megaphone at a distance of 4 feet is another example of why I have such contempt of progressives as I do. Their direct or sub silentio approval of violence against innocent people is a CONSTANT response by progressives in political office, on TV, in the press, on the Internet and often on this forum is one of many reasons for that sentiment.

Liberalism isn't just dead in the Democratic Party. Liberals are on the Democratic Party's "Destroy Them" list.

Fascists never care who they hurt. Hurting and terrifying people is the #1 tactic. Terror.

The church is led by an admitted racist.

The video he posts actually shows nothing of the sort. There’s a tense confrontation between protesters and parishioners on the steps, some yelling and for a brief moment, some shoving.

This incident happened a week ago at Grace Baptist Church in Troy, NY. People were there to protest an AR-15 giveaway by fundamentalist pastor John Koletas. According to local media, there was a short scuffle on the steps, and the police intervened.

Koletas has had these gun-giveaways twice in the past. The first was in 2014 during the unrest in Ferguson and Baltimore. He is, in his own words, a “bigot.”

An excerpt from one of his sermons:

I’m a racist. I think the races should be kept separate as much as possible. I think you ought to marry your own if you can. Black History Month means communism and Marxism month. Women’s History Month means man-hating and God-hating month. Sodomite History Month is a straight-hating month. American Native Savages Month — they’re gonna make one, too.

Grace Baptist Church is described on its social media as an “old-fashioned church preaching the old-time religion” and by that they mean 18th century religious racialism. Koletas has a sermon titled “Blacks are cursed,” referencing the “Curse of Ham,” which refers to the idea that the black race was created when God supposedly punished Noah’s son by turning his skin black. It was used by the Southern slaveholding class to justify slavery.

Actually, it was shown over and over why white people should stay away from black people for how much some black people hate white people - to the point of violence and murder. Being around and living among people who intensely hate you for your race would be absurd.

He attacked 3 little children with their mother in a violent assault with a megaphone. However, because this is Democratic Party territory that is a-ok - like is it apparently a-ok with all progressives on this thread to attack little children to cause permanent injury and disability.

Ever notice how people get bullhorns and protest when told they are called commie scum that should stay with their own kind? This preacher has been yelling out racism from his pulpit for a very long time. And you think it's the protestors that are wrong? Incidentally a high % of the protestors were Whites supporting the Blacks protest. Not everybody is a religious and racial bigot.

The guy with the bull horn yelled at the mother for (count them) two seconds then turned the bullhorn toward something else. There was no violent assault with a megaphone. No little children were attacked. There is not permanent injury or disability. One little boy cried for 2 minutes. Think of all the people that cried knowing that they were the subject of dogs, ropes, firehoses, murders, police actions, discrimination, denigration of their talents and accomplishments, denied a raise, forced into substandard housing, cheated by banks, refused service given substandard education and isolated.


Troy NY is in Rensselaer County. It votes Republican.

Were I still living in NY near Troy, I would probably have been protesting. No one attacked women and children. Apparently the pastor made comments to Blacks that got him physically hassled. Why do you think it is OK for the pastor to be preaching hate against Blacks, Muslims, LGBT and women but it's not OK for those same people to protest his lies? Freedom of speech and religion stop at the exact moment when someone advocates violence against others.

Pastor Koletas has a long history of preaching hate to his congregation in Troy NY. The people that listen to his hate messages year after year can be counted on to have absorbed the message and acted on it. Do you really believe that the US should be a country of bigotry, discrimination and hate?

Preacher Koletas has preached sermons that Blacks, Jews and Greeks are cursed. Central NY has a significant Greek population and Koletas is a common Greek name in the area.
