Black man confronted by cops while walking to work

What African Americans (and other visible minorities) have to deal with for the most part has zero to do with "good or bad" people and everything to do with a culture that needs to change.

Yes, the culture of leftists keeping black people in poverty has to change.

I do... you're the one refusing to deal with reality. Tell me, what was the purpose of you posting this?

You just refuse to even admit that there are good stories. Bring on the systemic racism.

It's important to the left to hype up every George Floyd story they can to continue claiming that we have runaway systemic racism.

It's also important to them to derail any thread that doesn't fit the political narrative their pushing.

.

How about taking a good story and pissing all over it because you hate America?

Her thoughts are truly disgusting. It's as if she WANTS systemic racism so she can hate America. Being proud of America isn't an option.

I would think that police all over the country are going out of their way to not make any mistakes at the moment. The spot light is too bright.

99% of the cops never worried about treading lightly because they are good cops.

Let a few bad cops get on a cell phone video and the ****ing liberals want to destroy them all.

Perhaps you can lead by example and stop stereotyping black people and minorities as 24/7 victims.

Here's another story about how white cops and white people treat a black man.

This is the America I know.

.

Great story, if we had more of this instead of the alternative we would actually make some progress.

Thing is, all humans make mistakes, even white police. They shouldn't be charged with crimes for making mistakes. If they really are bad and willingly do something criminal that is a different story.

uh, what. so you're driving along and make the mistake of glancing at your phone and plow another car and slaughter 2 parents and 5 kids and you shouldn't be charged for your mistake?

is this a joke post or something?

i have no idea how many good and bad police there are. where did you get the 99%?

That's just it, you shouldn't be criminally charged for making a mistake. Civil court is a different story. Getting back to the police, if police make a mistake the department will pay civilly through the ying yang and, if needed, the individual police persons could be reprimanded. The department is liable for damages, not the police person who makes a mistake. Now the George Floyd thing is a different story. That wasn't a mistake.

holy crap. so your mistake, like not knowing that you were dumping a toxin into a river and it killed 1,000 people, shouldn't cause you to be punished.

man, it's like fairy tales and participation ribbons and congratulations for all Cs on your report card.

How about the cops that killed George Floyd? Is that the America you know too or is that the America you refuse to know?

You mean the cop, not cops. We have to see how it plays out in court. If this was a personal beef between the two men, will you stop using as the poster for police brutality?

Give it up. You've stumbled into the wrong thread.

It's a nice story, but I gotta tell you, this doesn't play out all across America as presented.

I believe it happens far more than we hear about. Problem is there is no news in people going good, So the bad gets reported.

Stats....you can extrapolate that by the amount of cops there are.....to cop related deaths if you want to use that as a criteria, 800,000 cops in America, 1300 deaths by cop....that's everything, including justifiable deaths etc, but if you take the 800,000 cops and say they interact with civilians just ONCE per shift, that,s 288,000,000 interactions per year.....again....1300 deaths.....if you are using that...

he said "good" cops. he didn't say how many had been busted or how many had been caught doing something wrong.

now, how do you calculate good/bad cops (including those that are bad that haven't been exposed yet/those that will never be exposed)?

If 99% of cops are good, what's the probability of all 4 bad cops watching George Floyd die being bad?

Again, you need to use critical thinking skills......and extrapolate from what you KNOW.

Here's what we know.

800,000 cops

1,300 deaths by cops a year.

Assumption 1: each cop, has one interaction with civilans per shift, that works out to 288,000,000 interactions per year

So when he says 99% of the cops are good cops....is he wrong? If so..how?

If 99% of cops are good, what's the probability of all 4 bad cops watching George Floyd die being bad?

Astronomical, but you know from what's released that at least one of them....tried to change the outcome....

so, you're just gonna leave out the bad cops who haven't been exposed/will never be exposed?

I just wonder why a black man walking was suspicious in the first place. Would the policeman had stopped if he were a white man?

How do you figure? Unless you are asking am I going to leave out the bad cops that haven't done anything yet, but might do something? Yea, I'm gonna leave those out.

Did they say it was suspicious? Pretty sure it was curiosity on why he was walking 20 miles...

uh, i'm talking about the actual bad cops that haven't been busted yet or will never be busted. how are you accounting for them.

it's no different than trying to account for tax cheats (that are never caught). they're cheating but, according to your math, they're not cheating.

hey. good critical thinking.

Depends on what was going on. If it was 4 in the morning then doing an FI makes perfect sense as it could be a mental health issue or a DV issue. Asking a quick, “how’s it going?” Can tell you quite a lot in some cases.
