Trump oversaw the largest health mobilization in history. When you provide someone like Cuomo everything he asks for and he still fails, there's not much you can do.

A) Pence oversaw the health response. Trump did not want to be responsible. He still does not want to be responsible. Therefore any credit (if any is due which is highly doubtful) does not go to Trump.

B) Trump dismantled the agencies that existed to fight infectious diseases. He lies about what sources were left to him from the previous administration. He also waited 3 months to do anything at all after being briefed of the dangers to come.

C) New York is one of the few states that is continuing to report fewer and fewer cases, and is under a controlled opening. Trump should ask Cuomo for a playbook, that he could give to Pence, of course.

The ass kissing of Trump that goes on here is incredible.

Trump is not the government. The government is a vast entity. Obama didn't leave any resources with which to combat a pandemic. That's simply inaccurate. As for listening to experts, even Fauci as late as February was saying that the virus was not going to be danger to Americans. Does anyone care about that? Nope, they just rail on Trump.

Cuomo is a disaster. He sent infected people back to nursing homes, something a 3rd grader would know is stupid beyond words. He had the Javits Center and the Comfort and barely even used them. He asked Trump for scores of ventilators and then had so many left he had to send them to other states. The only thing Cuomo succeeded at was getting his mug on TV.

You notice the irony of you claiming Trump is blameless because he is not the government, yet you hold Cuomo accountable.

Obama left an entire agency and a playbook for dealing with infectious outbreaks. Trump dismantled them and doubtless did not bother to look at the playbook. Trump was briefed in DECEMBER about the possibility of disaster. It does not matter what Fauci said in February, NOTHING was done by the White House for 3 months.

By definition a nursing home is where people released from a hospital are sent. Did you think they were put out on the streets? What Cuomo did with getting extra beds and extra ventilators was preparing for the worst. What Trump does is just hoping everything will go away. Ten seconds of Cuomo on TV conveyed more useful information that Trump's month of campaign speeches disguised as press conferences.

The problem is that I am complaining about the presidents lack of leadership here, which is apparent to anyone paying any attention, when he does decide to lead he is just as incompetent.

The next fight he would like to pick is that schools will need to reopen at the beginning of the school year regardless of what happens between now and then. Because reasons.

If you think Cuomo is anything other than an abject failure, then there's not much to say. Only the left could take the very worst performing state and hold it up as an example to be admired.

2nd worst behind New Jersey in Covid death rate. Funny how NJ has a 8.4% death rate and NY has a 7.9% death rate while FL has 1.57% and TX has 1.22%. But, hey, let's attack the red states.

we are talking about NY concurring the greatest health risk we have ever had while the red states could have avoided the who thing but instead caused a giant problems with their own actions
