Refusing to wear a mask

I've been at the beach. Nobody is wearing masks except in elevators or in stores. If the proper policy had been followed to start with and only the elderly and the medically vulnerable had been quarantined, most of the rest would already have attained immunity.

I don't know anyone who knows anyone who has died of this. In the UK 1 in 1300 death rate...bear in mind mostly people over 80 or people with serious underlying health issues...hardly the ****ing black death is it?

In this country the politicizing is coming from our leader, not the media or the scientists.

I see over 100,000 dead (when the "leader' predicted anywhere between 0 and half of what we currently have). That's not media malfeasance.

It will be interesting to see the over all death numbers for the year against other years...if the number isn't so much higher it may indicate that this disease simply kills quicker than the cancers or heart disease etc .

One difference they've already discovered is viruses are contagious, cancer and heart disease are not. Comparing those may be good politics but it's bad science.

And you actually believe the rightist crap you're spewing right here, right now. But on the topic, wearing masks when social distancing is unlikely or impossible does inhibit the spread of the virus. Whether thaf's worth the inconvenience is up to you.
Or worth the risk of appearing fearful. That can be a factor with many people who lack self-confidence.
