New York Times:

President Trump delivered a dark and divisive speech at Mt. Rushmore leaning into the culture wars...

Los Angeles Times:

At Mt. Rushmore, President Trump uses Forth of July celebration to stoke a culture war.

Washington Post:

At Mount Rushmore, President Trump exploits social divisions, warns of left wing cultural revolution in dark speech ahead of Independence Day.

ABC News:

President Trump pushes racial division..

CNN:

Washington and Jefferson nothing more than "two slave owners."

As Richard Fernandez says, Pres. Trump's Rushmore speech can be summarized as, "I see you, and I raise you."

The left wing media machine is distressed to see that Trump is so adept at turning their strategic moves against them. The virus failed to kill America so they unleashed Antifa violence on the streets. And now that's failing them. Trump didn't over-react as they expected he would, and now left wing politicians are being forced to crack down on the protesters.

Trump is not like any Republican they've had to deal with -- he doesn't give up and he doesn't give in.

Here it is explained to you in a way you might understand, i.e., by a tatted up left wing actor:

they care about a culture war when they have been inciting the flames of it rallying against traditional values for decades...

It's funny to see the catch phrase of the day coming from Trumps speech....."cultural war". Each of these leftist news organizations will push this phrase to the hilt, until they get a call for the next "catch phrase"....they are so obvious in doing this, it used to be funny, but now it's getting sick to watch these lowlifes tout lie after lie, all over the news.

Big fan of Russel Brand, are you LowDown? When you need some hard hitting political commentary, you think to yourself "damn, I wish I knew what Russel Brand thought about this! He speaks for the masses! ":lamo

It is hilarious how you cherry pick things from people who disagree with you on literally every issue and pretend it somehow supports your idiotic position.

“In our schools, our newsrooms, even our corporate boardrooms, there is a new far-left fascism that demands absolute allegiance. If you do not speak its language, perform its rituals, recite its mantras and follow its commandments, then you will be censored, banished, blacklisted, persecuted and punished.”

-- Trump

Sounds like hyperbole. Sounds like he's whipping up his followers into violence.

Screw a link. Here's the quote:

Grabien founder and editor Tom Elliot tweeted a clip of the report by correspondent Leyla Santiago in which she discussed Trump's planned remarks.

"President Trump will be at Mount Rushmore, where he’ll be standing in front of a monument of two slave owners and on land wrestled away from Native Americans," she said.

they care about a culture war when they have been inciting the flames of it rallying against traditional values for decades...

When "traditional values" don't work for large parts of this country, than that tradition needs to be updated to something that does work for everyone.

they care about a culture war when they have been inciting the flames of it rallying against traditional values for decades...
Spoken like a loyal Putin soldier.

i think this is a reference to that:

CNN reporter calls Mt. Rushmore a 'monument of two slave owners' on land 'wrestled away from Native Americans' - TheBlaze

Take them all down, who cares? It's not worth another civil war to protect bronze and marble.

you think keeping them UP is going to cause the civil war?

As long as no one takes down the statues of Larry Bird and Ted Williams our culture, here in Boston anyway, will be just fine.

Why is any statue of confederate traitors to the union important to you? Please explain that.

Washington and Jefferson weren't Confederate traitors.

thank you for your honest opinion.

I hope more progressives give theirs and I hope moderates are watching.

Virtually everyone except Trump and his racist base want the Confederate named military bases renamed and the statue's to these traitors removed.

How badly is Trump concerned? He golfed three different times this past week. It's what he seems to do best besides incite racial divisiveness.

He is not wrong.

But don't you find it really odd that the only time they mention this is when a Republican goes to Mt. Rushmore? Why not when Obama was there? Hillary? Bernie?

This is another obvious showing of media bias and the sheep of the world just eat it up without even a second thought.

Were these other people using it for a political statement in this same vein?
