The making of Senate sausage isn't the polite discussion of high ideals that we would like to think it is. US Senators are no different in many respects from the general population. There are the usual percent of liars, thieves, adulterers, drunks and other forms of low life that we find in our own neighborhoods.

They do have one thing they share: The ability to be elected [and re-elected] to the US Senate.

If the Democrats in Congress block everyone in the military getting a promotion unless they can make a political promotion for someone, then that's what they do. Hopefully everyone in the military notices this before the election. Clearly, her REAL demand is that everyone in the military consider their real oath is to serve the Democratic Party.
 
Vindman should be booted out for insubordination.

Since you openly oppose promotions being selected by commissioned officers claiming instead promotions are just about political favors and rewards from politicians, what's your point?

One of my kids is. Combat in the theaters of Iraq and Afghanistan (repeatedly). Permanent serious combat related physical damage. Killed lots of "them." Flying up thru the ranks. Very highly specialized I-can't-talk-about it stuff. Obviously no one like my kid should get promoted unless kissing some Democrats asses in your opinion.

My kid was brought up twice on preliminary insubordination charges, one of which was for a charge of leading a mutiny. Won both. Got a promotion out of both. But NEVER, EVER violated the chain of command - not once. Never ran to the press. Never a bitching letter above the chain of command.None of this "I'm going to tattle on you!" crap concerning a higher ranker.

Vindman is an outright traitor, a little weasel, acted as a spy for Russia, Iran and other countries, and is a liar, deciding he'd rather play politics and become famous by being a Commander-In-Chief hater than be a soldier.

PS. My kid and everyone it the unit is getting out but one for many reasons including that they know their lives would be sacrificed for political reasons and missions are more for press releases than victories, though things like materials supply got better under Trump - after Obama almost completely stripped them of materials and personnel to cripple the military.

For testifying under oath......you have some very odd ideas of "insubordination"....did any of his superiors order him to not testify? Better yet, what do you know about insubordination?
