One of the posters claims that Duckworth hates the military. I pointed out that is impossible. She's a wounded war veteran that comes from a military family, dating back to the Revolutionary war. Her point here is that Vindman should get colonel status first and foremost. The only reason why there's hesitation because he dared to question the commander-and-chief, who violated foreign campaign finance laws, and withheld money for political gain. If anything, she's promoting fairness.

I can tell you that as an Illinois voter, I’m pretty happy with the move.

But I doubt if I’ll vote for her for Senator again. She’s probably going to be VP, and a front runner for 2024 or 2028.

Those are the facts. It's illegal to ask a foreign government assistance for a political election. It is also true that the money WAS withheld. The Ukrainian government fulfilled its obligation for the funds. It was only held because Trump wanted information on Biden's son. See below:

Again, Duckworth is simply arguing that Vindman shouldn't be denied colonel status because he stood up to the President.
