Wow! Duckworth blocks all military promotions until Esper states in writing he won’t interfere with

Only Congress has the power to create and promote military officers, not Secretaries of Defense. There is absolutely nothing the Secretary of Defense can do to prohibit or advance anyone's promotion, other than making a recommendation. All the power resides with Congress.

This is merely a stunt by Sen. Duckworth. Just another leftist Democrat scumbag causing harm to all those who deserve to be promoted in order to try to score some political points.

We veterans have very clearly seen how trump, his administration and his cultists disrespect and denigrate our military..........from POWs, to Gold Star families, to our PTSD victims, to our military with Russian bounties on their heads, to retired generals being disrespected by Capt. Bonespurs.

Her actions embody the "leave no one behind" motto.

If anything, this makes Duckworth a hero in Congress for most Vets.

Telling the truth in front of Congress is not a "political" view it is the duty of every citizen. Trump "ridiculed" America by holding back military aid for his own political gain. He's an embarrassment to the whole country.

The military likes Fort Bragg, Fort Benning, Fort Gordon, Fort Hood, Fort Lee, Fort Pickett, Fort Polk, Fort Rucker, and Fort A.P. Hill. Why would they change? Trump said he wouldn't sign the legislation anyway. Change the names of the posts named for Native American killers while you are at it.
