When I sat on the promotion board, folks like Vindman were moved to the "Do not promote" pile. Not even the "Maybe, but let's look at it again later" pile.

It is a completely pointless political stunt, nothing more. Officers are not promoted by Secretaries of Defense. Only Congress has that constitutional authority. If Sen. Duckworth wanted Vindman promoted, she has the power to make that recommendation. As just one minority member of that committee, she will have a vote but not the final say on whether or not Vidman gets promoted.

So she is simply grandstanding, and harming 1,123 military officers deserving of their promotions. In other words, just your stereotypical dishonorable Democrat scumbag.
