Antimaskers are worse than antivaxxers

People who demand people wear masks are "dumb, ignorant, gullible, and wrong." Only idiots believe wrapping a piece of an old T-shirt or wearing a 25 cent dust mask blocks virus.

In fact, MASKS KILL PEOPLE. Masks kill other people. Masks kill the wearer. Masks collect viruses and both collect and grow bacteria and other pathogens. A mask wearing is a viruses and bacteria spreading, infecting everyone in any room they go into. The wearer is self infecting - while crippling their own immune system of oxygen deprivation and co2 poisoning - making the mask wear a sickly person breeding more and more pathogens in their own body and in/on the mask.

Notice how every major talking head on TV ranting why people should wear masks are never wearing a mask themselves while doing so.

This is why the states with the strictest enforcement of stay indoors, the idiotic 6 foot rule and wearing masks have THE HIGHEST DEATH RATES BY FAR - as much as 1000% higher. Only idiots demand copying the states with the highest mortality rate from covid-19. Why? Because they WANT as many people to die as possible because they hate Americans, hate the USA and believe the more people they can kill the more it harms President Trump.

Mask create and spread bacterial infections, while causing the wearing also to become infected with bacteria, viruses and other pathogens.

Surgical masks as source of bacterial contamination during operative procedures:

Wearing a mask also can cause the wearer to contract covid-19.

Wearing masks may increase your risk of coronavirus infection, expert says:
Panic buying and the hoarding of face masks to protect from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) may not be a good idea, says a health expert. It puts you at an increased risk of contracting the virus.

Dr. Jenny Harries, England's deputy chief medical officer, has warned that it was not a good idea for the public to wear facemasks as the virus can get trapped in the material and causes infection when the wearer breathes in.

Wearing masks may increase your risk of coronavirus infection, expert says

This is why the states that have MOST imposed and forced stay-indoors and wear mask orders have the highest covid-19 death rates - and by a lot more. Masks do not protect you. They do not protect other people. The cheap and homemade masks people wear spread virus and bacteria and self infecting the wearer increasingly with pathogens including bacteria and virus - while so reducing oxygen intake and increasing co2 that the immune system is crippled and the person's body increasing breaks down.

What the **** does this idiot think happens when you breathe in without the mask?

Your "expert" very quickly retracted this nonsense, by the way.

Why would you choose to wear a seatbelt? Don't you love freedom?

Sometimes the brakes on my truck grab so it is better to be wearing a seatbelt when operating that particular vehicle.

Why? Is it safer with a seatbelt on?

Not really but my dentist is really expensive so it is cheaper to wear one sometimes.

Ok, so you think seatbelts don't make you safer. Got it. I have nothing more to discuss with you.

You didn't have anything to discuss with me to begin with.

Masks don't protect the wearers from getting infected by other people. They protect other people from getting infected by the mask wearer. It's no different than covering your mouth when you sneeze. You don't to it to keep from getting sick, you do it to keep others from getting sick in case you are. And because you aren't an ignorant child with no sense of manners or social etiquette.

Again you are wrong, based on the latest science, which you probably do not believe in, says it works both ways, especially if you stay at least 8 feet from those who refuse to wear masks.

The latest science says that wearing a mask is far more effective at preventing you from infecting others than it is at protecting you from getting infected by others. But yes, it does protect you to some small degree from getting infected so long as you maintain social distancing and avoid touching your face when taking it on and off. It is not a barrier however, and people who wear masks can still become infected.

But the reason to wear masks is not self-protection, which masks are only marginally effective at. It is to protect others which masks are much more effective at. If everyone does it, then by extension you will be protected.

I've remarked several times on these forums equating antimaskers to antivaxxers. We have forums poster apdst to thank for this, as he's the one who introduced me to the term "antimasker." Made the connection easy. But thinking over it some more, I've realized I was wrong. Antimaskers are much, much worse than antivaxxers.

While they're dumb, ignorant, gullible, and wrong, antivaxxers have a motive that's easy to understand. They're afraid of harming their children via vaccination. This fear is based on the usual nonsense that drives most conspiracy theories. The "worst case scenario" they are afraid of if their ideas are correct is their child having a severe allergic reaction, a dangerous autoimmune response, or autism. They're not willing to try and protect the public out of fear of that harm. They're willing to risk infecting their own child with a serious disease, and potentially spread that disease to others who can't or wont be protected.

Meanwhile, antimaskers. Antimaskers are not willing to try and protect the public out of fear of... mild discomfort. Their worst case scenario if their ideas are correct is wearing an unnecessary mask at Target. They're willing to risk infecting everybody they encounter. And everyone those people encounter. The public, the troops, their elected officials, their favorite sports teams, even their own children. Sure, COVID-19 isn't as serious at an individual level as a Measles infection, but it still can kill you. Or your wife. Or your grandparents. Or your neighbor.

This motive is not easy to understand. If you cared about your country, you'd be willing to risk a mild inconvenience to protect it.

Agree with the basic premise of your arguments, above.

But honestly, I would bet that a Venn Diagram of Anti-vaxers and Anti-maskers would look very much like a simple circle.

The overlap would certainly be tremendous.

 of course its subjective, the term idiot is a subjective term

But its more than disagreeing, its judgement, I judge you as unintelligent if you do not wear a mask.

It’s a poor judgment. Even the world health organization was not recommending masks just a few weeks ago for the general public, citing not enough evidence.

To not take a position that reasonable people can disagree on this is unintelligent, in light of available facts.

The CDC advised wearing them almost two months ago.

One of those morons on Fox and Friends expressed surprise that masks had become political. Meanwhile, last May, Fox News mumbler, Britt Hume, made fun of Biden for wear one.

They fuel the division and then act surprised when it happens.

Most the same people.

Anti-maskers probably don't cover their mouth when they sneeze. They probably wipe their snot on anything. They probably don't wash their hands.

Burn not the WHO.

And it’s one thing to advise, it’s quite another to claim someone is an idiot for not doing so.

There should be room for reasonable disagreement here, given the facts.

Love it when the Left expresses fake outrage over the health of Senior Citizens. They are the one who want a socialized healthcare system. A system that even Obama admits will require Rationing with the first to be rationed out of needed healthcare being the Senior Citizen.

But back in March Fauci said there is no reason for the public to have masks.

Oh that's right he later admitted he was lying.

I don’t think people are idiots for not wearing masks. I say in certain situations not doing it is irresponsible. The idiots are the ones that go to a store and like little bitches when told to put on a mask to come in.

Our current system already rations healthcare. It does it based on how much money you have.

I agree about acting a fool, just don’t go in if you don’t want to comply by a stores rules.

But, given thst the World Health Organization just a few weeks ago was not recommending a mask for the general public. Citi a lack of sufficient evidence, Isn’t it a little rash to call people irresponsible for not Wearing? Can’t reasonable people disagree given what we know?
