An accusation was made that is of great importance to the country, to the soldiers and to all people regarding Trump's commitment to our nation. Whether it is true or not, it is of enough serious nature that Trump needs to address it, either as fact or as false. If false, he needs to show proof that it is false. This is not a situation where the benefit of the doubt can be given. It is like being in a war and someone says the enemy knows your position and they are coming to kill you. The answer of the man in charge cannot be "I don't believe it , because if it is not false, everyone will be killed. If false, you have lost nothing by checking on and showing proof to the troops that it is false so they can relax and not be fearful of an attack. The leader needs to send someone to see if the enemy is coming because if they are coming, you need to do something about it. Simply stated, he cannot just sit back and do nothing about it, which is exactly what he is doing.
Sorry but I live in the United States not another country. In the United States it is the accuser that bears the burden of Proof not the accused.

I don't need to prove it is true because if it is true, people will die. I cannot have the luxury of putting it aside and saying it is not true. Trump is responsible for our lives and Russia is an enemy that has publicly stated they desire our destruction. The probabilities favor it being true and it is the job of the leader to make sure. It is not my job to prove otherwise because by then, I might be dead (as a U.S. soldier in Afghanistan).
Actually you do need to prove it is true because that is how the burden of proof works.
