The right is losing their power base to a level of total disaster for them , which is a good thing.

I just don't want them in seats of power. They are hear to undermine society . Watch them trash historical monuments. Next history will be perverted in the school system . The founders of the country leftist's hate will have to be torn down and replaced with some marxist revolutionary. Heroes of the left; Adorno, Fromm, Lukacs, Gramsci, Horkheimer. Marcuse.

How can those be leftist heros when I had to google most of them?

We'll build statues of Soros, Hillary, Bernie, Pelosi, Obama, and Chomsky.

Democrats don't want to destabilize society. I'd prefer to build it back up from the damage the GOP have caused. Are equal rights for others and personal freedom destabilizing effect of society?

I repeat, the issue is plutocracy. You are worried about 'hate' and that's used for them to get elected, but plutocracy is the real issue. It's one thing to say people deserve a voice, and another to say the so-called 'conservative' side, whatever that is supposed to mean, is "needed". You should recognize it for what it actually is, which is now a tool for plutocracy, whatever its adherents thing. What's needed is defeat that.
 
Trump is doing so poorly in the polls that it reminds me of the night he won the presidency.

I am curious: i have had many people claim that people are "born gay". I have had others say that environment shapes-if not determines that "choice" . I don't know what the answer is. A very close friend was the victim of abuse and while not perhaps violent rape, -certainly coerced as a 14 or 15 year old. For 12 or so years she was "confused" dating men, then ultimately marrying a woman. Her sister was married to a late friend of mine-a psychologist who I had known since age five and who my son saw for some minor issues as a HS student. He was convinced that his sister in law's ultimate choice of a partner was at least partially caused by the very traumatic incidents as a teenager.

Another close friend of mine-who had a child at age 18, came out many years later. I have known her 20 years (she is about 50 now) and I am unaware of any relations she has been in while I have known her. She noted that the older she was, the more she was attracted to other women. She denies any sort of trauma.

I knew from age 15, a heavy burden to carry in the homophobic 80's. I grew some balls and came out at 40. Best decision of my life.
