Couple points guns at protestors

I see today that the McCloskeys’ troubles are not over, as radical prosecutor Gardner is seeking to bring charges against them for the crime of defending themselves.

Don't worry! These criminals will turn on her eventually.

The racism towards white people is getting pretty disgusting. I suggest they stop stoking the flames of hate. They're gonna get burnt.

WE are all getting burnt. I don't want my white son to end up collateral damage from a stray bullet in this stupid idiotic way out of date white victimization nonsense.

"Stoking the fires of hate" for some was seeing a black man waving from the front door of the WH because we all know THAT is what started us on our current binge of SCARED WHITE MEN WITH GUNS with their hair and pants on fire. It gave us Donald Duck with his racist bullhorn and opened the floodgates of White Victimization in all its glory. "Poor us....we were born at the very top of the totem pool in the richest nation in the world and in some cases did nothing with that built advantage....pity party please."

The fact is, American Blacks are still "taking care" of American Whites, now washing our rhetorical linen. We literally have Black leaders saying the words: "We get it. Some of you lost your minds over seeing Obama standing in the front door of the WH. So here ya' go. Here is your White guy, Joe Biden.

They will offer up a Biden before they see 30-40% of the country go bat-dung crazy and put Donald Duck back in there again.

You don't aim a gun at anyone unless you are pulling the trigger. That's the first rule of gun safety. Yet the Filth have held me at gun point half a dozen times and they are firearm trained, so I guess anything goes. The lady obviously has her finger on the trigger. She's damn lucky that she didn't accidentally kill someone and have to do hard time.

this i do agree with. I think a holstered weapon would have been sufficient in this circumstance, but I do not agree with the mob and can see where they were afraid for their life after witnessing a violent mob tear downa metal gate to get to their neighborhood/property.

as for actually having the weapons handy, I think what i said before was their only mistake, as there was plenty of precedent to think the mob may be violent and their lives or property may be at risk

Both rule one and rule two.

Rule three, know what's beyond your target (peaceful protesters). I wonder if she was thinking about the little girl who lives across the street?...

She could have gotten the same effect pointing her pistol at the sky, or the ground. Especially when you're in fear for your life and shaking. Even a trigger finger on the trigger guard would've been much better. Pointing the AR at the ground would've helped too. I just don't want to see scared innocent people getting into more trouble than they've ever seen before.

There's a cool meme on fb where someone changed his rifle into an electric guitar and she's holding a vocal mic.

I rack two hollow points first to keep from drilling multiple people with my .45, But, you have to hit the intended target for that to work.

How St. Louis’ History of Private Streets Led to a Gun-Brandishing Couple (Curbed). Here's a secret: I'm from St. Louis. I know these communities. I lived blocks from that location. I'm intimately familiar familiar with the racial history of St. Louis. It's part of MY family history, and not all in a good way. The McCloskey's neighborhood is actually directly part of the problem that the protesters are marching against.

ok why? because our politicians suck? yeah but you have to try. I am hoping there is a LARGE number of people who are starting to realize what this crap is, and getting to the point of letting it be known.

if so , we may have hope yet.
if not, well then there will be resistance and people will die. hoping it does not come to that.

hell people are already dying in cities where cops won't enforce now.

because our politicians suck?

Our citizenry sucks therefore our politicians suck

yeah but you have to try

Try in VAIN then

I don't get your attitude, unless you are just trying to dissuade. doing nothing is a sure way to not be heard. people are waking up, getting fed up with this crap.

I wrote my state representatives yesterday to give them my 2 cents.

Well, early on, no one really got this guys attitude If This Be Treason, Make the Most of It | Wickersham's Conscience

people are waking up, getting fed up with this crap.

No... the only thing that will truly wake people up is if they have NO $$$$ in their pocketbooks

I wrote my state representatives yesterday to give them my 2 cents.

Again, that's your right to do so

Good luck with that

There's been quite a bit of gun violence committed during the riots, and I think it's a judgment call as to whether or not a holstered gun is enough to quell violence. Some idiots will only back down if they think they've no chance for a fast draw.

Then let them march on public streets until they, I don't know, get enough Marxist politicians in office that they'll be given the McCloskey's property by the government.

Unless that street was paved at the cost of the gated community, it is public property even in a gated community. So no, they were not trespassing.
It wasn't public property. So not only were you wrong in your previous commentary, you are again wrong... as usual.

The couple was certainly well within their right to possess and carry their firearms. Their lack of training was very obvious. You cannot point a firearm at someone, unless you intend to use it. In Alaska it is called "Assault in the Fourth Degree," a class A misdemeanor. If "by words or other conduct that person recklessly places another person in fear of imminent physical injury" then they are guilty of Assault in the Fourth Degree. Recklessly waving around loaded firearms, pointing them at people, is a classic example of Assault in the Fourth Degree. Every State has a similar law, it may not be the same as Alaska's.

Had the couple been properly trained they would have known better. Never point a firearm at anyone, unless you intend to use it.

The Constitution does not require a person be trained to exercise their 2nd Amendment.

What they did to protect their property and their selves in this situation should be acceptable.
