Flynn is free, a severe blow to our once proud DOJ

Well that would certainly explain Rice's email to herself.

It certainly reveals these people were looking for anything to get Flynn. And it also reveals good old Joe is a lying snake.

A court had to free Flynn and it is nothing less than a severe blow to our once proud and basically politically free DOJ. Everyone with a brain knows Flynn was guilty as he admitted he was twice in a court of law under oath, but he was loyal to Trump and now is free.THe DOJ under Trump and Barr has become nothing but a political tool of Trump. It will continue to allow total freedom of action by Trump's friends and his enemies know that Barr is going to use the full power of the DOJ to come after them even if they have done nothing wrong. The DOJ can no longer be proud of what they dd. It is our collective shame. Hopefully in November this is start to come to an end. And those who praises this decision have no love for our country which is supposed to be based on laws and not of men. With Trump and Barr, the DOJ has itself become a criminal organization.

It is only a blow to those criminals in the DOJ that should be under arrest at this point.
I am glad an innocent man was set free and did not become a target of a corrupt political hack party.

It's called evidence vs conspiracy theories.

Trump and you run around saying Obama is dirty with zero evedence, yet everyone around trump is crooked....

yes you have conspiracy theories we have evidence and fact.

This gets better and better. So now you trust Comey?

I don't know how you look at yourself in the mirror.

So you think it's okay to lie to the Vice President and the FBI. Good to know. The conservatives I once knew would think that was not okay. That of course was pre-Trump, when conservatives had principals and cared far more about the country than a reality TV game show host.

Where did you get that I trust Comey?

If these notes are legit then Comey, Yates and others conspired with Obama to press a narrative that they KNEW was false and did so with a reason that could only be to damage Flynn or to damage Trump and Flynn.

But see-- you are assuming that the investigation and prosecution of Mr. Flynn was righteous. It wasn't.
Because as we now know:

1. There was no factual basis to suspect that Trump and/or his campaign or transition had conspired with Russia

Thus:

2. There was no factual basis to suspect Mr. Flynn was an agent of Russia or was working on their behalf.

Which means:

3. There was no investigatory purpose in interviewing Mr. Flynn.

So then:

4. Whatever it was that he said to the FBI was not "material" to any investigation

And since:

5. The law for which Mr. Flynn was prosecuted requires any misstatement made to the FBI to be "material" to its purpose

It means:

6. the government could not prove Mr. Flynn had broken the law

And the result of this is:

7. A responsible and ethically correct Justice Dept drops the charges.

You didn't even read that stupid link from "some dude" that Vesper posted?

So once again, tell me how Obama and his DOJ forced Flynn to lie to Pence and the FBI. The fact is he lied to the FBI and admitted it twice under oath in court. Now how were they responsible for that?

Coercion.

I have read these notes, the Kislyak call transcripts and the 302. As has been noted repeatedly, a 1001 violation requires a MATERIAL misstatement and nothing Flynn said could reasonably be considered as such.

So Flynn lied in open court when he said he lied to the FBI? And Trump fired him under false pretenses because he said he fired him because he lied to Pence.

Or did Kislyak force him to do that? You can't prove that Obama forced him to lie, or anyone in the Obama administration.

You are completely ignoring the legal elements of the "crime" you are citing. That kind of makes sense, though. Your objective has nothing to do with Constitutionality or any of the other principles upon which freedom relies. Your goal is PURELY a political one and, at that, is right in line with the commies you have chosen to side with.

Vote blue not red!

Just maybe threatening his son if Flynn didn't cooperate might have a key role. Fighting any Federal case requires millions of dollars. Thats why they have a 98% conviction rate.

But you wouldn't know that because it doesn't work for the narrative you would rather portray.

It doesn't really matter.
The point is simply there was no reason to suspect Mr. Flynn was an agent of Russia when he was interviewed.
None.

The "crime" I am "citing" is the crime he admitted in open court to committing. Is this really that hard for you to comprehend? Do you, like Trump himself and the other Trump lovers, seriously no longer respect the rule of law in this country?

"Commies"? I've seen ignorant nonsense from you, but that takes the cake.

Since the Trump Republican Senate exonerated Trump for his crimes, Trump has been out of control.

Most of us knew that would happen.

So, here we discover that you aren't really "independent", and you want to talk about a severe blow to our once proud and basically politically free justice system? Your veracity just augered in.

Quite frankly, what you said makes no sense.

You are well aware of why Flynn accepted the plea that was offered or, as a minimum, you should be aware because that reason has been presented thousands of times around here.

Reagan/Bush and Bush/Quale and Bush/Cheney pulled the same sh-t.

You no longer believe in the rule of law.

I have already explained why he DID NOT commit a crime. If you say "he did commit a crime" a thousand times that doesn't make it true.

Ummm, it was the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals that made the decision, a court not exactly known for their conservative fervor. But don't let that get in the way of your hysterical partisan rant.

The blow to the once proud DOJ came when the previous administration appointed scumbags to lead the FBI and other offices and they ran sham investigations using the nations DOJ as a political weapon. It didnt help matters when so many scumbag leftists in this country...people that today talk **** about how bad corrupt cops are, spent the last 4 years cheering on the actions of corrupt members of the DOJ as long as it suited their political agenda.
