Well, wow - you know I still think some good came out of this - did you see the solidarity and support Wallace had from his fellow competitors? It was a great display of sportsmanship and good will.

I'm relieved it wasn't a racially motivated incident.

Me too, that's why I love the sportsmanship in Nascar....good bunch of people.
 
If you are looking for racism everywhere you will be able to find it even if it doesn't exist.

Hopefully the take away will be atop jumping to conclusions.

So, in other words, many months ago some wiseass thought it would be funny to fashion a rope into a noose and use it for a garage door pull.
Hey, I've seen people who aren't the least bit white supremacist or even redneck, make nooses, for no other reason than "THEY CAN".

And sure enough as luck would have it, that garage got assigned to the only black driver in NASCAR?
Ehhhh, it could happen, or maybe...someone with a sick sense of humor thought it "might be funny" to give that garage to Bubba?
Ehhhh, that could happen too.
Or...it all was a morbid coincidence, and yes...that could happen, too.

Anyway, it was nice to see all those folks expressing solidarity and comraderie with Bubba anyway.

Except for the Oakland, Ca mayor, who when told and showed the grand misunderstanding in her city, refused to side with truth. Hopefully most of us can be more mature, admit our failures and misunderstandings.

Well, as we are all aware of the connotations of the noose, but in all actuality the knot of a noose does have some applications. It's not only for lynching, ya know.

No it's not! This is terrible news for the left. It means that all their news reports for the last week in the liberal media, all the tweets people made decrying the systemic racism in NASCAR turns out to not be true.

How will Trump be defeated if they can't prove all of White America are racists and Nazis?

Nascar drivers lined up behind Bubba. Richard Petty came out. That means that black lives do matter.

The FBI uncovered this photo of that same stall from Nov 2019 to prove it was there at least that long. The truth is that rope has been there much longer. All the stalls have them. This is nothing more than a pathetic publicity stunt. **** NASCAR.

All Lives Matter obviously.

But think about what is going in NASCAR and other sports, and the NFL is a great example of this point. One component of this so called "support" is really just people out of fear of being cancelled making a photo op. Because whether you are a NFL player, a Nascar driver, the team owner, or the sport leadership---- why are they even in that business if other than making money. So no commercial endorsements and other contracts, no advertising, no paycheck.

Of course black live matter. But if you have to feel pressured into supporting #BLM or that organization out of either fear or peer pressure, how is that making a better world?

MLK asked us to judge on the content of one's character and that is all we need to do. No taking a knee, no "ribbon" on the lapel, no demonstrations.

I wouldn't put Bubba Wallace yet in the same category as Kapernick with his pro Cuba anti America comments and symbolst. But Wallace is treading in perilous waters if he is embracing BLM the group too closely. How about instead painting on his car, "Justice for all" or something like that?
 
Did this driver cry racism for attention? Those ropes are on all the doors. How could he not know what it was? Jesse Smollette anyone?

If Wallace doesnt find a microphone ASAP and defend his sport, his fellow drivers and their fans from the bogus accusations of racism that this story caused, he deserves the support of no one.
