UNR alumni, students push for Colin Kaepernick statue on campus

Growing grassroots campaigns aim to put a Colin Kaepernick statue on the University of Nevada, Reno campus.

A new Facebook group, UNR Alumni Campaign for Statue of Kaepernick Kneeling in Mackay Stadium, has more than 450 members since it was started on June 13.

The group says it is working to get a campaign to show there is interest in a statue of the star Wolf Pack football player, who went on to play for the San Francisco 49ers.

Sweet irony. The racists are gonna have to accept the fact that they lost...this time for good.

I know he had a stellar career with the Wolf Pack. I would support any college's right to grassroots money for a statue honoring any former sports star for the team (well, maybe not if it was OJ Simpson...).

Yes it's going to frost a lot of people if this happens since Kaepernick was basically vindicated, showing that the assholes (think Trump) should have just shut their collective traps and let the man kneel.
