It looks like Trump is going to save Roger Stone from ever going to prison to serve his 40 month sentence.

Trump promises Stone won’t serve prison time: ‘He can sleep well at night!’ - POLITICO

President Donald Trump on Thursday promised his longtime political adviser Roger Stone would not serve time in prison, revealing the convicted Republican provocateur “can sleep well at night” and reprising his fiery criticisms of former special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe.
The pledge from the president came on Twitter, after Charlie Kirk, the founder of the conservative group Turning Point USA, wrote Tuesday that Stone “will serve more time in prison than 99% of these rioters destroying America” — referring to the ongoing nationwide protests over the killing of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black, by a Minneapolis police officer.

The message is clear: if you commit crimes on Trumps behalf and stay silent and loyal you will be rewarded.

The Trump crime conspiracy continues. This is beyond disgusting.

Manafort is enjoying his luxurious penthouse right now thanks to Trump. He's not in a rush to be pardoned, there's lots of time for that. Incidentally, there wasn't one case of Covid-19 in the Loretto low security boutique prison where he was being held. It's considered a 'boutique' compared to other prisons. Trump is trying to 'fix it' for everyone he can right now including keeping Stone out of prison because he knows that he's running out of time to be able to use his executive power to release all his cronies. Trump is being a good mobster by returning favors. And, he owes Roger Stone a huge favor after he helped Trump win the election.

Trump won't be pardoning his cronies till after the election. If he looses, he'll pardon himself as well.

Probably have to be satisfied with exposing them as punishment since abuse of power as a crime is tough to prove.
That's why they probably won't serve prison time.

Stone is already out, and his release had nothing to do with Trump. You can thank COVID 19 for that. My understanding is that Stone is now rioting and looting - all for a good cause, mind you. All for a good cause.

Why do you thing Roger Stone was indicted and was found guilty by a jury? He lied to prosecutors about his relationship with Wikileaks. He was the middle-man for all the stolen Clinton emails. Those stolen emails were the primary source of the campaign against Hillary Clinton. The stolen emails were precisely the reason 15 or so Russian operatives were indicted.

There were seven counts against Roger Stone including one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, five counts of false statements -- including lying to Congress -- and one count of witness tampering in the probe into possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election.

Stone was convicted by a jury on all counts on Nov. 15 and faces up to 50 years in prison.

I tried to think how any one of our previous presidents who were infamously corrupt and wondered if they had done anything even close to the things Trump has done. Sure, there was graft and corruption within the presidencies of several men but none that I knew of that was downright seditious and damaging to the core of a democracy like Trump.

We already there was no conspiracy between Russia and Trump to fix the 2016 election.
We now know there was never evidence to think there was a conspiracy between Russia and Trump to fix the 2016 election. Heck, the thinking now is that the Steele Dossier was Russian disinformation.

The conviction of Mr. Stone, ironically enough, js additional proof of no conspiracy.

You have been wrong on this issue since day one. And that error, shared by millions, has caused a lot of damage to this country.

As per the specific comment, Stone should be released at the very least because of all the COVID concerns.
And as Mr. Kirk notes, rioters and looters at least in NYC are not spending time in jail.
 
Concentrating on things that can help his ratings.

They are intentionally blind to all the wrong-doings by scoundrels like Cohen, Manafort, Stone, Gates. It doesn't matter if the evidence flew right in their faces, which it did by the way. It wouldn't matter because their brains have a virtual wall around it when it comes to Trump. That's the wall he really meant he would build and he was only successful at building that one.
