First of all, the only reason we know about these rotten pigs killing this man is because phones are ubiquitous, and phones are ubiquitous because they are cheap, and they are cheap because of capitalism and markets. Socialism is what killed him, capitalism is what brought his murder to light.

Secondly, this event will change nothing. How police operate is controlled by politics, and when decisions are controlled by politics, the politically powerful tend to get their way. The police unions are extremely politically powerful. You're not.

Lastly, nobody in the entire rotten government wants any sort of change. Trump and the Republicans luv the police, and Democrats luv the money they get from police unions. The system is functioning as intended.

Ain't democracy grand?

You have some good points.

Every 4 years or so there's a riot and the reason revolves mostly around police brutality.

I'd like to see a bunch of young black men apply for police positions in black neighborhoods. They can see for themselves how tough policing is.

We have 140,000 police in this country. If 1% makes a mistake per year, that's 14,000 mistakes.

The only point is that

HE WAS MURDERED!

Math is hard. 1% is 1400. And Soldiering is hard too. Did it for over 20 years. Didn't make that 1 mistake and neither did any of my Soldiers. I'll actually take that back, doing the right thing, having courage and integrity isnt actually all that hard.

Soldiers don't do police work, usually.

How many men are murdered senselessly because nobody saw, nobody witnessed, nobody filmed the murder? How many were forgotten because there was no proof of wrongdoing because the cop 'just happened' to have his body cam turned off? You know that's a mandate for most police now, to have their body cam on.

The murder of George Floyd established a clear record of how police use tactics that are brutal and unnecessary. This video with George Floyd is worse than any 'gore, violence, explicit, extreme violent' content even we've become numbed to. it's too real, too familiar, It's not ISIS beheading strangers miles and miles away, it's literally 'your neighbor' doing it to your other neighbor, while all the other neighbors aren't doing anything about it. When someone is shot it takes less than a second and maybe 20 more seconds to die, but this death was almost 9 minutes long and it affects you whether you're a democrat or republican, American or foreigner.

My issue is that rather than make the issue simply about police brutality (which is a major problem) some seem to want to divide the country and make it about racism when the statistics simply don't back that conclusion. Police brutality and the hundreds killed every year should be something that unites us into one cause rather than divide.

There are many organizations in this country that use armed force to dominate certain parts of it. Most are under the umbrella of USG, though a few are part of MS-13, the Crips, the Latin Kings, and other criminal organizations. There's probably a few old-school mobsters out there too.

Despite it's innumerable flaws, I would rather be governed by any of USG's armed branches, than by any of their competitors. And I'm sure you would too.

this is a good point. its about racism and dividing because someone backing the narrative WANTS it to be about racism and divide the country.

I don't know about that. Ever since the Ferguson riots, the number of unarmed black men killed by police every year has fallen quite a bit. Unfortunately, in that same time the number of black men killed by other black men has increased by many times that number.
