Home torched, child inside, rioters blocked FD

Gladly. They were probably exposed to toxic by-product from the smoke, which may come back to haunt them, and, oh yeah......they are lucky they got out alive. Sounds like you have experience. Laymen usually use the term "gas mask" for BA. Love your avatar BTW. One of my favorite lines to one of my favorite movies.

Doesn't polyvinyl chloride put off hydrogen cyanide when it burns?

Notice you haven't heard Obama, Biden, Clinton, Pelosi, Sharpton, The Black Caucus appealing to the rioters to stop.

You never will.

I was on the loval VFD on and off over the years. My dad was a member for 43 years. He was a certified fire service pump mechanic as well.

Those ****ing idiots know how bad this **** looks.

The crews should just rammed through.

I've seen a driver put an engine bumper to the back of a pick-up, which was parked in front of a hydrant, and push it out of the way. I gotta say though, we used to get pissed when a cop would leave his car in a bad place. That another thing that could've turned bad.

Torch a house and try to kill a kid, all in the name of "justice".

Sick bastards.

I'm not sure. I just remember learning that the smoke was incomplete combustion in the academy. The modern composites make breathing the smoke much more dangerous than back in the day. I went through the academy in 1984. I know, I'm old. I retired in 2008.

Cool. So I'm sure you're familiar with the cops getting their first, and blocking the foreground. lol Pump mechanic like the ones on the engines? I remember Waterous use to be the pumps in the old Macks. Those old engines were the backbone of the FD.

So it all worked out, nobody was hurt and therefore it isn't really indicative of a problem?

What were those people doing in their own home, anyway?? Why weren't they out there protesting like everybody else?? Racists!!

As a retired firefighter, I really despise arson. I've lost brother firefighters in fires, and have been injured and burned myself several times. It's no joke.

I worked the ISR Burn Unit at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston.....I would rather spend a year in combat than a month working there again.

Yeah and I'm familiar with the cops getting there first, opening the door and causing a total flashover...lol

Yeah, engine pumps. He was a diesel mechanic his whole life, plus a jack of all trades. Working on those fire truck pumps was a breeze for him. He invented his own nomenclature; an impeller was a "slinger"...lol.

Back in the 70's the department only had one truck: a 1941 Mack. Even after they were able to get more modern equipment, that truck would still out pump every one of them.

They should have moved out and let the rioters live there for free...lol. Greedy bastards!

none of the violence is okay. it's horrible.

now, i will say that it's (the violence) the best way for people who are against the legitimate protests to battle the legitimate protests against police violence, etc. just count who does it the most and you'll know who doesn't care about the man's death (at the hands of the police).

it's a Rush/Sean tactic.

It's not ok, but....

:lamo

The longer it goes on the better for Trump's chances at reelection. It is weird how lightly Democrats are taking this considering typically more violence tends to lead to more Right wing candidates getting elected.

How are Democrats taking this any more lightly than Republicans. Just because they make inflammatory and racist statements doesn't mean Republicans are taking it any more seriously.

Trump's tweet about rioters echoes 1960s Miami police chief - The San Diego Union-Tribune
President Donald Trump’s tweeted warning Friday amid unrest in Minneapolis that “when the looting starts, the shooting starts” echoes the language of a Miami police chief in 1967 who made clear his distaste for civil rights activists and his belief that violent protests should be met with deadly force.

The language has also been attributed to segregationist presidential candidate George Wallace in a 1968 campaign speech in Pittsburgh.

Between the kung flu and the communist riots, the Leftists have really shown us what kind of pieces of **** they really are.

Says the people openly defending calls for extermination of American citizens.

I volunteered before I was hired by the county. I loved it. When they hired me it was a dream come true. I loved every minute of it. My volunteer company had a 47 Mack open cab that was still in service! I was volunteering at age 16, when we still rode the back step! It was great. I was kind of disappointed when they outlawed us riding back step. I miss the old days in the department. By the time I retired, the politics had gotten so bad, the job wasn't fun anymore. For the first 10 years or so, I couldn't wait to get to work. Toward the end, I couldn't wait to retire.

Who would that be?

Elected Republican Tom Cotton called for extermination of looters. When I bring this up, right wingers refuse to even criticize him.

Right wingers are full fascist. All it took was some broken windows and burned stores, and they turned on everything they've been proclaiming to believe in. All your talk about believing in small government, and look at you. A cop murders a man in broad daylight, and you defend him. I've watched the police attack peaceful protesters who were 50 feet from anything and anyone, and you cheer them on. I've watched the police target people who are recording the situation, knocking them down and smashing their phones. And you smile. The police get caught on video smashing their own police cars, and you're silent. The police shoot a woman standing on her own front porch with a rubber bullet, and you think she deserves it. The president wants to send the military to kill Americans, and you nod your head. You spent months screeching about someone daring to make you wear a mask, but apparently the government can literally lock people in their homes and you'll clap your hands. You condemned the Hong Kong police's instigation of violence, but do not raise an eyebrow when it happens in America.

You're going to shrug all of this off. Convince yourself nothing I've said is really happening. Whatever it takes to quiet that cognitive dissonance. That's how fascism takes root. People like you, burying your heads in the sand.

You don't agree with punishing criminals?

I worked the ISR Burn Unit at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston.....I would rather spend a year in combat than a month working there again.

I thankyou for that year. The people that work there are truly special. I was treated at the burn center here for steam burns on my neck, ears, and wrists. The worst burn was my left wrist, which needed to be debrided. It was horrible. I feel so bad for people with large percentages of their body burned. I agree with you. If you want to make an impression on a kid about messing with matches or lighter, take them to the burn unit.

How is that genocide? Looters aren't a race, or ethnicity. :lamo

You're now laughing at the idea of mass executions for the crime of looting, and arguing semantics. You're defending a call for the military literally exterminating Americans. Because you think that's the punishment for looting. Immediate, extrajudicial death. No due process. Just shot by a soldier. And you think you vote for a party of "small government."

And you think I'm going to let you hide behind quibbling over the definition of genocide?
