Come on, be serious. This stunt by Trump was ill-conceived.

As Trump began to speak in the Rose Garden, tear gas canisters could be heard being launched into the crowd across the park, and the sounds of bangs and screams carried over the treetops and punctuated his remarks...

What was he thinking? No-one would describe the president as a religious man and it showed here, he looked completely ill at ease at a church holding a bible. I've read accounts that Trump decided on this charade in order to counter accusations that he's been hiding in the White House bunker. If that was the intention, it failed. Getting the SS to fire tear-gas at protesters so he can have a photo op makes him look weak. Which is what he has looked since the supposed great victory of the senate acquittal. The two crises he has faced since then are not his fault, but a crisis often isn't the fault of a president. That doesn't absolve them of responsibility though, Trump has bungled both responses and any leadership is sorely lacking in my opinion.

Because Obama was an honest and relatively competent President who is still among the best liked politicians in America. Trump not so much. He is a one and done mistake that we will regret for a generation.

Could you imagine the conversation that went on in deciding this was a good idea for this photo op? The cops and military should have refused on the grounds that who ever came up with this plan was ****ing crazy or possibly the stupidest person on the planet.

That's a big negative. Moscow Mitch vowed when Obama got elected that republicans would obstruct him at every turn and do everything they could to stop a second term. I guess as the GOP usually does, they failed. But they sure tried.

Just compare Obama's popularity with McConnell's. You will loose the senate this Nov. as well.
