Interesting ,eh?

i wouldn't say that it's interesting. i'd say that it's just more racist propaganda on the intertubes. that's kinda boring.

Then what do ya say about the basic math then?

Jesus, guys.

Yes, black people (as a percent of population) commit more crime. And since there are way more white people to commit crimes against, black people commit most of their crimes against white people.

Does that make police mistreatment of black people OK?

I don't know if it's interesting...heck, I don't even know if it's accurate. But if it is, then I think the Hispanics need to step up their game versus the blacks. They are falling way behind.

No, it doesn’t make it ok. But it along with other stats call into question the idea that blacks are specifically targeted due to racism.

It’s easy to find a few racist incidence out of a million cops and 40 million interactions a year. But rational people shouldn’t use a few anecdotes to feel oppressed. The anecdotes are so rare in our society, that race baiters are constantly faking them to stir up racial divide and get busted for it. There are not enough actual racist things happening to keep the narrative going, so they try to face them.

And..... as a % of our population they're also a minority(wink) which makes it even more mind boggling

There is also police mistreatment of white folk when they also resit etc... during arrest. You just don't hear about it as much

No more mind boggling than this:

22 TRILLION$$$$$$$$!!!!!

Most of the Great Society was designed to fight LBJ’s War on Poverty, the total cost of which has been the sum of $22 trillion in current dollars, as reckoned by the Heritage Foundation. The tally rises by about $1 trillion a year as more than 80 overlapping means-tested federal programs sap resources the country does not have. The $22 trillion figure is “three times the amount of money that the government has spent on all military wars in its history, from the Revolutionary War to the present,” says Heritage’s Robert Rector.

BS. Having grown up in a predominantly black community in SC, and having some black friends in FL and CT, where I've lived and currently live, and as a result, having interactions with police, I assure you, as a percent of population, black people are far more likely to be targeted by police for suspicion. AKA, profiling.

Imagine you are a suspect, just sight on seeing, because of the color of your skin? Imagine growing up that way. Imagine having to watch every move you make, to be perfect in public, just to try to avoid suspicion?

Not nearly as common. And you mentioned a key fact...when they resist arrest.

Well that’s a bit different than being targeted for racist violence.

If you are part of a group that is more than 5 times as likely to commit violent crimes as another group, don’t blame the other group for being more suspicious, being more careful around you. (And not just the other group, black cops are likely having the same thoughts).

Try to be a part of the solution, and be patient if you are under suspicion.
If more blacks stood up to their culture, and tried to reform it, change would happen and crime would go down and make their lives better.

The countless violent crimes committed upon blacks by other blacks should be the grave concern and focus, rather than crying about coming under suspicion.

And shows that a small minority of the population represents a large percentage of the total poverty numbers. What would you predict would be the effect of this on crime statistics?

What part of 22 TRILLION$$$$ that you didn't understand?

Unwelcome facts are indeed inconvenient. It's usually best to define them as propaganda and throw in the word 'racist' for good measure.

And would this guy and all of un like him be alive if he had not resisted arrest?

EDIT
I need more info On this particular case about resisting arrest

Me thinks so

I was unaware that resisting arrest, especially after being handcuffed, was a capital offense subject to summary execution.

Sounds like those places we talk **** about all the time.

But your boy loves those guys. So I guess it's not surprising you're OK with it.

The case needs to finish being investigated

This case has pretty much everyone agreeing on that(Cop guilty)

African Americans have the highest crime rate because they have the highest poverty rate. They have the highest poverty rate because of a history of systemic racism in America that is declining more slowly than we collectively think it should be. This higher crime rate coupled with police departments that protect racist cops leads to a higher rate of police brutality incidents in African American communities. Each one of these incidents pushes those that are powerless to stop them and fed up with a system that makes it more difficult for them to achieve the "American dream" closer to rioting, which means more lurid news stories, which means higher ratings for news programs.

It isn't difficult to understand. Systemic racism is what is causing these riots. News stories cover cop on black citizen violence because cop on black citizen violence is a more serious problem to the country as a whole than black citizen on white citizen crime, and is therefore far more concerning to the majority of people who watch the news.
