I never said 'pre-1950s', and now you're deliberately misrepresenting my comment. A Republican President occupied the white house for the majority of the 1950s, during which the country had 5 riots. Dems monopolized the WH in the following decade, which saw the rise of the civil rights movement. During the 60's, there were over 10 times as many riots than the previous decade. The real world consequences of your ideology, are riots, anti-American sentiment, agitation, and the like. And yes, most patriotic Americans would prefer the stability and unity of the 50s, over this radical division of today..

district races only care about votes in that district. they do not care about overall votes.

I understand it much more than you do. There is no way that Democrats should control less than 40% of the Wisconsin state legislature when they earned around 55% of the vote statewide.

This is the gerrymandering that Scott Walker and the Nazi Repug Party in Wisconsin implemented. The worse gerrymandering in the country. So, yes, our voting system is rigged. It's the only way these mother ****ers can maintain power. And you know it.
