It would seem prudent to remain where the action is not. Would you rather be heavily armed in a peaceful trailer park or unarmed in an urban setting under siege waiting for the police (or national guard) to save you?

I'm not saying it was all the white supremacists, but it WAS white supremacists who came in and exploited the justified anger and ignited the flames. They're not idiots - this was planned out and executed. It's basically conspiracy against the government.

This is a reactionary right wing skinhead fantasy. It has been around, in various forms for decades.

There is a whole sub genre of very low grade pulp fiction devoted to this theme. Before the internet, it used to be passed from hand to hand like banned literature used to be passed around in the Soviet Union. Which is how I first encountered it.

The plots are always the same. Some disaster (it doesn’t really matter what) causes civilization to collapse. And the vermin in the cities, the ones who live on welfare, and are inevitably not the same color as the righteous, flee to the countryside.

Where they engage in a titanic war with the righteous, while, heavily armed country food, who prevail with an AR-15 in one hand, and a bible in the other, while the twilight sky is red, white and blue.

This is their favorite fantasy.

We agree on that last point except that the word conspiracy seems less direct than literal insurrection would indicate.

Your article has all of the identifying qualifications of a good rumor. It certainly does not rise to the level of reputable journalism.

The anger is justified. The acting out by the useful idiots following that anger is stupid and counter productive.

When our police kill people, they kill "Whites" 40% of the time- "Blacks" only 23% of the time.

It seems odd that our media presents the idea that Cops Kill only Blacks.

WHY that idea is presented begs a question.

Why aren't the heavily armed coming out of their trailer parks then to protest police authoritarianism?

Everyone (majority) believe the cop is guilty

in the case this unlikely scenario develops, why would they worry about going downtown? if society breaks down they aren't going to be looking for gucci bags or a good resaurant. they would have the food being grown in the "hinterlands". it would be the ones who live in the cities who would have a problem without a supply scenario, when society breaks down, hmm?

I will be moving farther out to the "hinterlands" myself.

it's a stupid proposition by whoever wrote that article. I will denounce actual white supremacists all day, but that is not the majority or anywhere close of what those rioters actually are.
