I still refuse to wear a face mask

guys its just bucky look at his history of starting threds its so over the top that im pretty sure he just wants us to get mad at him hes not sharing how he actually feels

and dam it bucky i love drama on hear as much a any one but when your so obvious about it it ruins the fantasy and kills the hate boner joy for both of us

That is the kind that I wear when I can not control social distancing. I was fortunate to get one. You can not social distance in a grocery store. I wish everyone that is vulnerable had access to one.

Wearing a mask isn't for you. It's for everyone around you. By refusing to wear masks, you people are saying it is your "right" to infect others.

Well, it's not.

These people (lead by their ignorant, incompetent, thuggish, fascistic president) are the reason that the U.S. (with 4% of the world's population) has suffered 30% of the WORLDWIDE deaths to COVID-19. We've seen the COVID-19 pandemic effectively controlled in places where EVERYONE agrees to wear masks (i.e. Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan, Australia, etc.) and maintain social distancing guidelines.

The reason we STILL have a raging pandemic in the U.S. is because of these IGNORANT, far-right anti-government, anti-science, fake-news-loving pseudo-patriots, who are emboldened by having one of their own in the White House.

It will take a generation (at the least) for the U.S. to recover/reclaim our image and reputation as the beacon of democracy, freedom and hope for the entire free world...simply because of the 4 years of Trumpism, under which we currently suffer.
 
Wearing most masks is like putting up a chain link fence to keep out mosquitoes.

Duh......perhaps someone's wife is home suffering through cancer treatments, perhaps someone is a caregiver for their mother or grandmother who lives in the same home and who's health is compromised. Perhaps that shopper doesn't want and infected moron coughing in their face because he's too selfish to wear a mask, and that shopper carries home the *****'s virus. Is your view of everything so narrow that you can't understand things like that? :roll:

It"s not for your protection for the most part it's for others, although it can provide a barrier to virus transmission on your face when you touch your face if your hands make contact with the virus. We touch our faces at least 16 times an hour.

And how do you know you're not an asymptomatic carrier?

I wear a mask religiously when in public, but not outdoors in unconfined spaces. In fact don't know anyone that does.

That's the point of the mask, to prevent you from infecting the people around you.

Lets understand something "freedom" does not mean "do whatever I want". Public health, public safety and the property rights of others must be put into consideration. In my state, you have to wear a mask inside a building.

So let me get this straight. It is perfectly fine for you to smoke outside which could compromise my air. I see people smoking outside of grocery stores all the time. I mean, we do know for a scientific fact, smoking is bad for your health.

But me not wearing a mask makes me deplorable because I could make other people sick?

Good luck with your poor decision making and thought process. i just now had a skype chat with a colleague that is working from home. His wife is a nurse and he told me that nearly every day she has to call loved ones of those dying, young and old, so they can see them or hear their last words before they go. You're a fool.

Some liberal snowflake told me I was too close to them (about 4 feet away) and they didn't want to risk getting the virus (this was outside a grocery store parking lot). They then took out a cig and started smoking. The person was visibly overweight.

So I am the dumb dumb for not wearing a mask yet it seems half of these people seem to be engaging in activities that are more dangerous.

You do not know my position on smoking. If you did, you would have never written that response.

I am still not understanding why you think it's your constitutional right to get other people sick. The mask is not really for your protection, but the people around you.

And I never called you deplorable.

How many 10s of thousands of doctors are there in the country. But 1 said something. Come on. Didn't you claim something about common sense.

Having said that, if one is wearing some home made cloth mask, it is pretty useless. But surgical type masks offer protection.
They don't protect you, they protect others.
I don't typically wear one in public, since most public spaces where I live are sparse.
But I am required to wear one at work. Except in my office at my desk.

That, plus a lack of understanding and respect for basic Science. Equating second-hand smoke to a contagion, is just laughably absurd.

If I were Hispanic or black, the last thing I would want to do is wear a mask. They are already a target of racists whites. It just gives another excuse for a racist cop to conduct a stop-and-frisk or to use an illegal chokehold.

A lot of people feel they have been wearing a mask their entire life.

I have the right to send my kids to school without being vaccinated. If I have a religious and/or philosophical reasoning, it is perfectly allowable.

I know many people that have a religious and/or philosophical reasoning to not wear a mask. Thus, it is legally within my right to not wear a mask.

Try running stop signs. You can do it without a mask if you like, however.
