California DA launches investigation into Tara Reade testimony

The Monterey County District Attorney’s office has launched an investigation into whether Tara Reade lied on the witness stand while acting as an expert witness.

Reade, under the name Alexandra McCabe, for years testified as an expert in domestic violence cases for the California D.A.’s office. Among the issues is whether she lied about her credentials to qualify as an expert.

"Last week, the school where she testified to completing a bachelor’s degree, Antioch University in Seattle, confirmed to POLITICO that Reade attended for only three academic quarters and did not graduate. The university also denied Reade’s assertion she had a special arrangement with a former chancellor to credit her with an undergraduate degree under a different name.

Seattle University Law School confirmed that Reade, under the name Alexandra McCabe, did graduate from law school. But officials wouldn’t comment on whether she had a valid undergraduate degree, which is required under the law school’s current admission standards.

According to her testimony in two felony cases reviewed by POLITICO, including the Vasquez-Ramirez case, Reade stated she earned an undergraduate degree at Antioch University.

She also testified on the witness stand in December 2018 that “I have not taken the bar exam.” That answer came in response to a question asking whether she was a licensed attorney in the state of California, according to an official court transcript of the proceeding.

However, an archived 2012 account from her personal blog, which was taken down from the Internet, alludes to two prior attempts: “taking the California bar exam a third time ... hoping I can charm it and pass!”

Reade’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, announced Friday he was no longer representing her. Reade could not immediately be reached for comment." Wonder why.

Which, if you’re a woman, has really got to piss you off. If one person calls the police for a fake burglary, people don’t just assume that most burglaries are fake. But if there’s just one fake rape allegation, people instantly lose faith in rape allegations. It’s a ****ed up double standard.

None of that will stop Trump's low IQ sons, right wing media, and his idiot base from calling Biden a "rapist". It isn't just Reade that hurt #me too and "believe her" movements, it's the GOP and it's voters from hanging their hats onto Reade's clearly questionable allegations, to the point where they are desperately calling Biden a rapist and pedo based on absolutely nothing other than Reade and some videos on youtube of Biden supposedly sniffing hair or whatever. Never mind that their orange God is sexually attracted to his own daughter, has 25+ sexual assault allegations against him, bragged about sexual assault on tape, and has been accused of walking into the dressing rooms of under aged girls.

It's funny how the lot of you have so easily forgotten about Forde in all of this.

It's since devolved towards more gross standards than just a "pat on the back" at this point.

It would b easier to watch if any of them had the integrity to address what was transpiring here. But the fact of the matter is that they don't and most likely never will possess it.

Hold on, I dunno if you can blame the GOP for this or say it is bad.

First, Tara Reade is the person accusing Biden. The GOP has no motive to undermine that. Their motive is amplify.

Second, Tara Reade apparently did lie repeatedly about her qualifications and experience. She testified in trials. People went to jail, in part perhaps because of her expert testimony for the government. But an expert witness has to be qualified by the judge. If the judge qualifies one based on lies... that makes the conviction unjust.

Honestly, I'm not convinced that some GOP operatives did not pay her to change her entire story on Biden. Is it really out of the realm of possibility? She literally went from praising Biden as a champion of women's rights to calling him a rapist. The whole thing stinks to high heaven.
