How come Trump is hiding his tax returns so much?

Tax returns from what I understand don't really show anything damaging, like they are filed to lessen your tax burden as much as possible -- and often are filed manipulatively and suspiciously to do that. That may sound damaging to some, but to me it doesn't --since all people do that, and it's a known thing that they're filed that way.

The tax returns don't show anything more than the mentioned though, and everyone who would see them would know they were filed in the mentioned ways if they thought they didn't look genuinely reported. Why do you think he hides his tax returns so much? What do you think they would show if released publicly besides the mentioned, if anything at all? Do you think they would damage him if released publicly?

Because they're no one else's business. It's called a Constitutional right - privacy.
