Why Amy Klobuchar is the best pick for Joe Biden

The impeachment trial was one sided, the house blocked republicans from most everything and the senate turned around and did the same to democrats, a pissing contest with no real substance or justice.

Alrighty then.

I just found this meme.

This.

I mean we've already been over this. Progressives despise her, she's as boring as dry sand, is an utterly milquetoast status quo corporate Democrat (there is nothing substantively 'left' about Klob, at least on any economic axis), is painfully conventional, and is barely more charismatic than Hillary (i.e. one of the lowest bars imaginable). She is the de facto Tim Kaine pick of this electoral cycle, straight up.

The idea that you don't have to embrace or reconcile with the desires of 40% or so of the Democratic party, no matter how you want to spin who won what electoral contests, is frankly absurd, and Klob as VP is certainly a full-on needle in the eye to them. Biden could win regardless thanks to COVID-19, but it would be in _spite_ of her.

Also the blue collar people you mentioned flipped Trump because he took up stances of economic populism and free trade skepticism in line with Sanders: he promised to bring their jobs back; he was lying all the way of course, but Biden certainly doesn't seem poised to step in and make good on what Donnie failed to.

Well, you have to cater to the centrist. When you have a presidential candidate so far left and radical as Joe Biden, you have to get some one a bit more centrist to bring balance into the ticket.

I agree with this. Although Klobuchar would be my second choice. Picking Klobuchar means Minnesota stays blue. Few remember that Hillary won Minnesota by a single point, 44,000 votes. Amy would also help in neighboring Wisconsin and in Michigan. Most likely returning those two states back into being part of the blue wall. She helps Biden get to 270 and she also brings regional balance to the ticket. Northeasterner and Midwesterner. You covered her assets well.

The other candidate for VP that could help Biden get to 270 is the Hispanic Senator Masto from Nevada. She would keep Nevada blue and help to deliver Arizona to Biden. She would be of tremendous help to Biden in Texas, giving Biden a legitimate shot at winning that state. Although she lacks the experience of Klobuchar, 4 years as a senator, she was also Nevada's AG prior to that for 8 years. She also brings regional balance to the ticket

I think both would be attractive to the non-affiliate, independent, swing voters much more than a Warren which progressives are pushing. Both are younger and would bring a fresh face into the mix. These two would give Biden his best chance at attaining 270 electoral votes.

A lot of good points except one. McSally is the one who is delivering Arizona to Biden. Her campaign has been a train wreck. It has been characterized as one of the worst campaign in senate history.

So calling it a crush to go out of your way to defend an extremely corrupt politician exposed to the world for trying to keep an innocent man on deathrow knowing he was innocent until the court forced her to release the evidence.

The only thing you are proving is you will support any amound of corruption and lawlessness and justify it so long as it aligns with your political ideology.

And all you are proving is that it takes a good set of legs and a nice rack, no matter who pays her, to overthrow the big bad black woman. Y’all got caught up with Sarah Palin the same way. Guess you didn’t learn your lesson then, either, because Gabbard had to be dragged out by the hair of her head.

Gabbard was a huge disappointment. I had hopes for her, but at every turn, she failed to impress and showed her unsuitability to be in government at all

So now you are throwing sexism into the argument, well might as well since no one on earth can defendharris's record, might as well throw sexism in there as a cheap ad hominem.

Gabbard got dragged out by her hair huh, last I checked she still wrecked harris's campaign and the dnc had to go full defense to keep her out so she could not wreck anyone elses, which raises the question if just mentioning someones record can tank a campaign, why did the dnc choose the most corrupt loosers to run, between harris could only run a campaign as long as no one mentioned her record and bloomberg can only survive as long as he spent millions and never debated.

Yall have an issue supporting corruption to the extreme and resorting to ad hominem and logical fallacies to divert from proven facts on why you support some of the most corrupt politicians in the history of america, some like harric so corrupt trump would have to run another 50 terms to match, yet you call trump corrupt but defend harris's corruption as acceptable, like putting a D next to the name absolves them of all crime and corruption.

Gabbard was very good at debates, the dnc should have atleast put her in a moderator position somehow to weed out the sick lame and lazy, to ensure only the best candidates emerged.

Gabbard is photogenic and it is relevant. It gets her noticed. It's the first thing I noticed. The second thing I noticed was her bat**** insanity.

Your analysis is valid in my view, but as a white moderate independent, I want Biden to pick a black woman VP. Blacks brought him to the dance. Time to return the favor. I'm thinking many whites feel the same as I do.

I feel the same as you do, and there are enough capable intelligent black women who would fill the position very well, IMO. I don't dislike Klobuchar, she was my second choice for President among the candidates, first was Biden, then Amy, Buttigieg third. I would like to see black people get more representation in our government, they are citizens who are too often overlooked and treated poorly. Trump Party republicans are still actively trying to suppress their votes, although it's 2020, they want to take away rights from all people of color, women, gays, etc.

Plenty of wonderful, bright black women in America. Even Republicans.

This is sarcasm right? Poe's Law so I'm not sure anymore.

Wait - in all that word salad, did you really say that Trump would have to run 50 more terms to be as corrupt as Harris?

Yes. You did.

I’m finished here.

Klobuchar? I figured that after last Friday he'd pick Aunt Jemima.

Klobuchar? I figured that after last Friday he'd pick Aunt Jemima.

That's funny as hell.

I can see Joe saying something about how he always found comfort looking at his pancakes at breakfast when he was a kid and that's how he feels looking at Stacey Abrams. Right before he rejects her.
Young people won't know what the hell he's talking about and old people will just be relieved he passed on her.

No she wasn't. Other than the few moments against Harris she was virtually non-existent. There were times I was wondering if she was still there.

Do you have to ask?

In your case, probably not.

But yes, there are most definitely some who actually believe this; remember 'Obammie the Commie'? Sadly we live in an era of Poe's law.

They hardly gave her time and kept her disqualified from most debates for the reason that destroyed harris, because gabbard was not going to shield anyone or dumb herself down to to avoid disrupting someone the party backs.

Could you imagine her against biden, or anyone else in the dnc debates, going the same route, she likely would have knocked many others out of the race.

The mere fact harris was destroyed in a single debate by simply bringing up her record shows gabbard knew how to use facts to her advantage in a debate in a devastating way.

Well when trump hides evidence to keep innocent men on death row for political reasons you can call me, otherwise harris commited some epic levels of corruption that the dnc seems to be having no issues with. Also she is known for blocking prosecution of criminal kingpins and heavily prosecuting minor crimes committed by minorities.

Klobuchar is also well known in Iowa, and she has been a proponent for farmers and the ag industry in general.

That is why she continues to win in a red district...

Trump has ****ed farmers and the Midwest, she would definitely help win the .idwest...

Minnesota isn't red which Senator Klobuchar is from. Minnesota hasn't voted Republican for the presidency since 1972. That's about as blue as one can get. You could be right about Amy having influence in Iowa though.
