Republican National Committee sues California to halt vote-by-mail for November general election

It is the Dems who are doing voter fraud...heard of one who voted over and over and got busted...several yrs in prison..anyone can fill out those blank mail in ballots...yay, Republican Party! the party co-founded by Abraham Lincoln, I might add

As they always do before elections, Republicans are trying to suppress voting in the United States. Increased voting (more democracy) tends to favor Democrat candidates.

The GOP will do everything possible to purge voter rolls, move voting sites in certain areas as far from the voters as possible, etc.

no one is suppressing anything. there are laws. those laws must be followed. if it takes the state congress to change the law then the Gov cannot do it by himself.

no one is stopping anyone from voting.
people are free to request mail in ballots if they want to.

from what i have read it takes the state Congress to draft a bill to change the election laws. this would mean that the gov.'s orders are in violation of state law.

as usual facts prove you wrong.

It's The Heritage Foundation and if our buddy had actually read the entire report he would be chagrined to learn that it's not the Post Office with the problem, it's the election officials in the states, and by FAR the highest number of cases originated IN red states, with election officials screwing Democrats, not vice versa.

Not only that, but it seems that Trump isn't really all that interested in stamping out vote fraud because he dismantled and shut down his own voter fraud commission already.

Add to that the fact that the FEC is effectively nonfunctional as of 2019 and there is no enforcement arm to convict fraudsters.

"There are numerous problems to point fingers at and many explanations as to what happened to these ballots" and most of those explanations don't involve the postal service at all.

The Heritage Foundation is famous for gems like "99.6 Americans have refrigerators which means there is no poverty in America".

I copied and pasted the information from the Federal U.S. Election Assistance commission’s 2016 report. Where did I say anything about the Military?

There’s nothing “progressive” about ensuring that all eligible citizens are able to vote.

There is a provision in the law allowing for mail in ballots during emergencies. A health emergency is in place for covid19. The law is satisfied.

This is a two edged sword and Republicans may be cutting their throat with it. My mother in law, a devoted Trump follower, will vote for him in November only because Virginia has decided to allow absentee voting. Otherwise, she would be staying home along with careful seniors like her across the country.

more voting favors Dems though. that's why Rs fight it so hard (moving polling places off college campuses, shutting down polling places to make people (who wouldn't have cars) have to travel, restricting early voting, etc. this mail in thing is just their latest battle in the same war.
