One columnist declared that former Vice President Joe Biden could boil babies and she would still vote for him. Feminist leaders have said they believe Biden raped a Senate staffer but they still endorse him. Good government advocates have opposed any investigation into prior sexual harassment or corruption claims against Biden. It seems politicians and pundits alike have discovered the glory of the “presidential bull.” In this instance, Biden is akin to a papal indulgence that allows writers, members of Congress and journalists to forgive any sin in a holy crusade to retake Washington.

It's a crazy time we live in.....the divide is a big ole stench, no doubt. Problem for these people, is that if, and a very big if, Joe wins, he will have to come out of the basement and actually be presidential....whoa, wait a minute.....voting for this guy would be the most vain thing one could do with their vote.

Given a choice between Donald "You gotta grab em by the *****" and Biden, it's a no brainier that folks will vote for Biden.
 
Could he shoot someone in the middle of the street and maintain his support

Or pay off strippers and sex workers to remain quiet about his paying for sex?

No, it's not 'just like' that, any more than the police shooting a criminal to stop their murdering is the same as the criminal shooting innocent people. But it IS true that Biden has nearly unlimited license, because trump is so bad.
 
Some supporters on both sides are voting for their team, most people are voting against the other team. If anyone loves either of these old farts they're crazy. We're all just trying to bash what we're afraid of while claiming it stems from enlightenment. I'm gunna vote against Trump because I'm afraid of anymore payroll and consumption taxes getting any higher for me while the rich lose a few pennies out of their daddy's inheritance.

Politics are a lot like other fandoms, some of the fan base absolutely does not get it. I'm sure you don't like that the KKK has been vocal about Trump just like I don't enjoy these Democrats pretending Biden is more than the lesser of two evils. I don't like how fascist america is but antifa made that a concerning statement.

Just tired of watching everybody point at the far end of opposing sides instead of even considering meeting in the middle.

No one is voting for Joe Biden. They are only voting against Trump. And Joe was the most unlike-Trump person the Dems could find.

It's refreshing - given today's hyper-partisan environment - to see a forum newb come-in and lay done some fair & moderate non-partisan lines calling for compromise to the middle.

Let's see if you can maintain that a year or two and several thousand posts down the road. It ain't gonna' be easy. But I give you credit for where your head's at now.

That's not totally true, but you are right in that it's accurate for a substantial number of Biden voters.

However Biden is not the most 'unlike Trump', as there were far more radical Dems. Biden is thought to be more moderate than many (Dems), thereby more likely to bag more Indies and re-integrate some moderate or Blue Dog Dems that flipped to Trump in 2016. This last applies especially to suburban Caucasian women.

Voting against Trump got the Democrats back the house in 2018. Trump drives Democrat turn out better than any Democrat could.

"presidential". This is so downright laughable coming from a Trump supporter. You guys have brass balls, I'll tell you that. There has been nothing "presidential" about that obese orange oaf you call a president since he's been in office.

I actually think Biden will attempt to compromise with the Republicans, similar to the way Obama did. Of course, Biden should know better, considering that Republicans got together in early 2009 and decided they were going to do everything possible to destroy the economy to ensure that his boss Obama was a one term president. And in 2010, Mitch McConnell even admitted it on live T.V.

I didn't mean to suggest that Biden was the most far-left candidate. Only that he was the most establishment and the least populist in the Dem field. He's been in public serice longer than most of his constituents have been alive and ran on a moderate platform so uncontroversial that unlike more candidates who move to the center after getting the nomination, Biden may have to move to the left just to keep the "Bernie Bros" motivated to come out and vote for him.

OTOH Trump is all populist and utterly opposed to the establishment, or "swamp" as he calls it. He never held an elective office before becoming president. He says whatever the hell he likes all the time which is both a blessing and a curse.

Operationally, Trump and Biden are polar opposites.

The only swamp Trump has drained was to pour sewage of his liking. Trump actuality found a way to make things WORSE in Washington. He found a way to make his new found sewage loyal to him alone.

Trump has planted the seeds to Authoritarianism and Trump supporters have taken to it like a porn star has taken to taking a facial of cum. They have essentially suck down Trump cum like it was Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream.

Trump supporters at this point are brain washed like North Koreans and should either be jailed for their willingness Treason against the United States of America or be put into Mental Institutions for being unable to understand reason.

It shocks me how dense the Trump supporters are. They're totally blind to all the crap Trump has done and said. The guy ran a scam school that cheated regular folks out of their money. He was impeached for trying to coerce the Ukrainian president into investigating his political rival. They are totally out of their minds if they think there is anything Biden could do or say that could compare to the crap Trump has already done.
 
It's no surprise that Dems will overlook some of Biden's flaws and dismiss allegations and scandals: there is no other challenger to Trump at this stage. They're stuck with him. Nobody is getting on their high horse and saying they won't touch Biden because the alternative is four more years of utter destruction. For the Dems - moderates, centrists, liberals, progressives and socialists - the primaries are over and they have no other choice.

There is a middle in America these days????

There are still a huge number of American Moderates but most have had their voice nullified by the Fringe screamers, come November I have little doubt they will voice their opinion.

Well, to be fair, many on both sides would still vote for their candidate, even if they shot someone on Fifth Ave. Party and power mean more than anything else.
