Even someone with a BS in psychology would know the difference between psychologist and psychiatrists but you confuse the two, despite your obvious attempt to backpedal.

We weren't talking about the differences between psychiatry and psychology. If you don't know about the similarities I can't help that.

Clinical psychologists diagnose mental illness. The only real difference is that clinical psychologists can't prescribe drugs. I am NOT a clinical psychologist but I have a master's degree in it. Then I went on to study experimental psychology, which has nothing at all to do with mental illness.

I can't fix your profound ignorance. I was not talking about the DIFFERENCE between them. The SIMILARITY is that clinical psychologists diagnose mental illness, using the same DSM as psychiatrists.

You probably don't understand a word I just said, but never mind.

I don't hate Trump. But he had four months of unlimited access to the worlds foremost Covid-19 access. And in those four months, the very best plan he could come up with was injecting disinfectants. How is that kind of stupid even possible? WTF was he doing? Ask any academically minded Middle School student, and I bet they can tell you injecting household disinfectants won't cure Covid-19, and is a stupid thing to do. And that's without four months to study the subject. Your POTUS is demonstrably and factually operating at the level of a pre-Middle School student.

So what do you make of it?

That disinfectant thing was a stupid misunderstanding. He should have kept his mouth shut, he is not an MD. He was talking about a well known alternative remedy for killing pathogens, which happens to also be used as a water purifier. Well whatever. He should shut up about medical advice.

But what miracles did you expect from a president in this situation? What miracles were performed by other world leaders? Trump did what the medical experts advised -- shut down the country. He did not stubbornly resist, even though he did not want to ruin the economy before the election. But he had to accept the medical experts' advice.

What else would you have expected? What miracles would Obama have performed?

I explained that it was a misunderstanding. He was not talking about household cleaners. It is a well known alternative remedy. But you would rather work yourself into a rage than read carefully.

UV light is also a known therapy for some infections.

But I SAID Trump should keep his mouth shut about medical advice. But he is not ever going to keep his mouth shut about anything.

trump is responsible for not following epidemic SOP in the first place, resulting in far more cases and the shutdown he now somehow blames on democrats.

Containment is the ideal situation epidemiologically. Test trace and isolate. Repeat until no new infections on that "line". If you do this, and there is zero reason we couldn't have, you don't have to shut down and you get the kind of results countries who did, did.

The cost would have been billions, not trillions. No mass shutdowns necessary. Just limited defined ones.

Of course it would have been difficult in a world of disrespectful assholes who won't wear a mask, are gonna do what ever they want, and will quite certainly run to an area where folks did if his area starts to look like the black death. (It won't, but you get the idea.

Only takes one selfish jackass to undo the sacrifice of thousands and all of the money spent getting them where they were.

So more simply, he is not responsible for the contagion. He is responsible for the mess we are due to his failed response to a situation he was warned repeatedly about and dismally failed a drill on just months before.

It is a specific antibiotic, not just any old disinfectant. Maybe his wife is into alternative medicine and he heard about it from her. I don't know. It is considered effective by lots of people. I had read about it in the past and even tried it.

He was probably talking about chlorine dioxide, known as "Miracle Mineral Supplement" by its advocates. It is not the same thing as chlorine.
