In discussions with a liberal friend

That is a true statement. Liberals have some strange mental illness that makes them want to have power over all others.

You don't even know what liberal means, much less what one thinks.

How do you mean? Are you saying that if he refused to shut down the country he would still e in office? You know that would be a lie. The leftist/socialist/liberal/progressive/undisclosed crowd would be blaming him for every single death and you know it.

He is so helpless he must do as he is told by the left.

I love it

People that haven't served think it's easy to "steal valor" on the internet but it's not. As Condor points out, there are a million terms, jargon, lingo, nomenclature, sayings, idiosyncrasies and everything else that comes with a culture in military culture. It's no easier to pretend to have been in the military than it is to pretend to have lived in a country. People from that country can instantly tell if someone has lived there, and people that lived in the military can instantly tell if someone else has.

It absolutely is easy to steal valor if they put effort into it, especially if they have military family members/friends. Some of them are easy to bust but not all, especially online. In person it's a lot harder to make up ASVAB scores, an MOS, deployments/stations etc on the spot.

I don't think anyone has ever fooled me. I can detect the language. If they can't sort of shift into a military dialect, they didn't serve. Military brats don't fool me because they can't really speak the language.

Who remembers their ASVAB scores??? LOL

Thats is about the most perfect explanation I have heard.

You wouldn't know if they did. I really don't think it's that hard to be a good fake online.

Those of us that scored in the 99th percentile.

I know I scored very high. I had three years of college when I went in. They want me to go to nuke school but I knew that meant carriers or subs and not for me. I had to wait a year in DEP to get into the Bees

I think you're wrong and your methods of detection are incompetent simpleton crap. You look for numbers, I look for language.

Everyone knows squids don't feed at the surface.

BU1 USN Seabees....more than a few duty stations

Thank you for your service

So why would you think Blanding is an Army base. Did you just not know and google a quick answer (make a mistake) or do you actually think its an Army base.

As an Army guy, I just wanted to know.

I almost joined them in the 1980's in Fart Worth. Now the place is decommissioned.

You could pull off military jargon with a few days of practice if you really wanted to, especially online. You're overstating how complicated and exclusive it is by a lot.

Because it is run by the US Army

I had to take the test three times because they thought I was cheating.

They get all confused when someone that was sober through high school and did their homework walks in. A year of private uni had them looking at me sideways and begging me to serve intel or some such. I said, "no way, buddy, I'm going to the dirt to live with the clay of the Earth."
