Trump just declared he wants the churches, ALL the churches open right now. And if any governors defy him, he will overrule them.

Yeah! I want all the Trumpsters to crowd into their chapels and sanctuaries, hug and kiss and shower all their pent up love all over each other. That will be awesome! All glory be to Trump! Hallowed be thy name!
 
Trump can't actually do that, but I think he knows that already. CO has opened up it's churches. They have to monitor the number of people at service and keep it below capacity, but they're able to start to hold in-person mass now.

Right now, smart Democrats are staying away from their chapels. They are practicing social distancing. They are trusting science and using their brains.

Since fully half of all blacks and Hispanics attend church weekly, I'd say it's a pretty smart political move.

The problem is that if the virus starts racing through those who want to pretend that the risk has passed, that brings it closer to the rest of us.
 
Why the clamor for churches to open?


I was raised Episcopalian and that was long ago., I still remember this: Matthew 18:20 ~ For where two or three are gathered in My name, I am there in the midst of them. ~Thank you Lord for dwelling in the midst of your people!~

Unfortunately, that is true. Nevertheless, these people need to know there is a price to be paid for their stupidity. Increased infection and deaths from covid-19 is the predicted price they will pay.

They can put it on their headstones "Died for their Rights."

No hes not. Trump is pointing out to the 'not too bright' leftists that religious freedom and the right to assemble are guaranteed by the Constitution.

One thing Trump has managed to do, is shine a spotlight on ‘we the people!’

I would have thought Trump might have touched on the church arson in Mississippi during his brief remarks.

People do have the right to the free exercise of religion despite what Bidunces think.
 
Trump is the first person one thinks of when thinking about Churches, Religions, Jesus Christ, and God.

Just the latest dangerous distraction to the Health of Americans while whipping up a new source w of division.
