But that is not proof that in actual field conditions masks significantly contribute to reducing the spread of CV-19. These are mechanism demonstrations that demonstrate how masks seem to work, NOT on whether or not they make a difference in pandemic spread.
It's not? She just said the opposite. Where is your data?
For example, if social distancing and decreased interaction with others accounted for 95% reduction in the spread then what are masks contributing? Does it then even matter?
Where are you getting your %? We can speculate anything. Are you claiming that the medical experts, like Dr Birx, are just picking random numbers?
For example, if masks only delay eventual infection anyway by several days, then does it matter?
Why wouldnt that matter? Are you assuming someone is going to get CV anyway? Based on what?
For example, if the likihood of infection from exposure to COVID doesn't change much from a single micro droplet to a large number of droplets...does it even matter?
It does matter. The variables are things like person's immune system, other exposures at the same time, # of droplets, # of viral particles that escaped with the droplets, if the droplets fell on surfaces, products, and were touched by others, etc etc etc etc.
Frankly, no one knows. Wearing random patches of fabic may, or may not, significantly contribute to limiting infection.
The medical experts disagree with you. So, you just wrote a post with zero substance that comes across as: "well they cant prove it so I dont have to believe it if I dont want to." And yet, the efficacy of basic masks is a fact.
This is the barely coherent and grammatically inept speech of a man who desperately wants to be able to claim that he "cured coronavirus."
That's it, in a nutshell. When we do get a handle on this crisis, he wants to be able to pull out footage and declare "I called it! I said use this! I said try this! I told them to do this, it was my idea!" He's just doing it with lots of stupid stuff because he doesnt want to miss an opportunity. He's afraid 'the big one' will be mentioned and he wont get credit for it.
It's all about declaring himself the savior of the cv crisis and we'll hear all about it, esp in his campaign. (Which is basically each of his press briefings these days) --- Lursa
