Costco kicks out customer for not wearing a mask

But that is not proof that in actual field conditions masks significantly contribute to reducing the spread of CV-19. These are mechanism demonstrations that demonstrate how masks seem to work, NOT on whether or not they make a difference in pandemic spread.

It's not? She just said the opposite. Where is your data?

For example, if social distancing and decreased interaction with others accounted for 95% reduction in the spread then what are masks contributing? Does it then even matter?

Where are you getting your %? We can speculate anything. Are you claiming that the medical experts, like Dr Birx, are just picking random numbers?

For example, if masks only delay eventual infection anyway by several days, then does it matter?

Why wouldnt that matter? Are you assuming someone is going to get CV anyway? Based on what?

For example, if the likihood of infection from exposure to COVID doesn't change much from a single micro droplet to a large number of droplets...does it even matter?

It does matter. The variables are things like person's immune system, other exposures at the same time, # of droplets, # of viral particles that escaped with the droplets, if the droplets fell on surfaces, products, and were touched by others, etc etc etc etc.

Frankly, no one knows. Wearing random patches of fabic may, or may not, significantly contribute to limiting infection.

The medical experts disagree with you. So, you just wrote a post with zero substance that comes across as: "well they cant prove it so I dont have to believe it if I dont want to." And yet, the efficacy of basic masks is a fact.

This is the barely coherent and grammatically inept speech of a man who desperately wants to be able to claim that he "cured coronavirus."

That's it, in a nutshell. When we do get a handle on this crisis, he wants to be able to pull out footage and declare "I called it! I said use this! I said try this! I told them to do this, it was my idea!" He's just doing it with lots of stupid stuff because he doesnt want to miss an opportunity. He's afraid 'the big one' will be mentioned and he wont get credit for it.

It's all about declaring himself the savior of the cv crisis and we'll hear all about it, esp in his campaign. (Which is basically each of his press briefings these days) --- Lursa

CDC just released its personal protection guidelines, being adopted by many states as "the best available science"

Note: outer clothing is smeared in beeswax and/or lard to capture 'nucles' of the plague.

Oder aside, Oregon governor praised the new outfits for their attracting styling and multi-cultural roots..."It looks like a properly attired Muslim woman, no?"

You used a video proving the media is not wearing masks. Amazing how they try to indict Trump who maintains social distancing and is tested daily.

So Dr Birx is wrong? Please explain how.

So Dr Birx is wrong? Please explain how.

I actually listened intently to what Dr. Birx actually said. So what part is wrong that you believe I must discuss? I in fact had not mentioned her at all. I mentioned the Trump critics harping he does not wear a mask as they were not wearing them either.

And what is your point? Please explain.

You are responding to a conversation about masks being effective. What is your point regarding the conversation you inserted yourself into?

Shaman facial coverings and voodoo science to back it up are … well...less than persuasive.

Spot on!

In the end it appears that the spread of covid-19 is basically based on TWO things:

1) how dense the population is
2) how dense the population is

You're missing the point. She is describing droplet experiments, NOT real world empirical studies or tests. An "experiment" that shows how droplets might disperse a plume quicker than natural dispersal for the same distance shows nothing other than how it MIGHT in the real world mitigate the rate of infection; it doesn't show that IN FACT across a population that it does so.

So until someone produces studies that robustly show, in the real world, that masking the population with random fabrics works...the assumption remains unproven.

The medical experts disagree with you. So, you just wrote a post with zero substance that comes across as: "well they cant prove it so I dont have to believe it if I dont want to." And yet, the efficacy of basic masks is a fact.

Some medical experts might disagree with me, some don't disagree, and some are more certain that masking is counter-productive. Birx has her opinion, but its just her opinion.

And how are their experiments different from 'real life' situations? Please explain. Where did you find the criteria for their research? Are you assuming one study?

Please prove your claim (in bold)

Which ones agree that masks are useless? THat is the claim that is being disputed.

And you just admitted that Birx has used experiments/study for her comments. Now it's her opinion? Please explain.

You already asked this and I already answered it. You're definitely drunk.

Wayne Jr is always angry when I have tried to have a discussion with him. He seems to be peeved at the entire world that refuses to agree.

You want me to repost a link that we both already posted?

Since you don't know what you're talking about I won't ask again :)

He isn't even making any sense. I hate when people post word salads for a living.

LOL you think I work here :D DP doesn't have any employees.

What they think of you is not your problem nor should it be.

I was parroting most of the thoughts of the dolts that live around me. :) I do wear a mask (P95) consistently and constantly when going to the grocery/Lowe's stores. One: Because it's the thing to do. Two: So my dear wife isn't left alone in this world. :)

If that is seriously how you interpreted that message, then something is very, very wrong with you.

Some DP members cause happiness wherever they go; but you, whenever you go.
