There's a big difference between travel internationally as Trump failed to stop from the beginning, and inter-state travel which is of course necessary for domestic transportation of goods.

This is what happens when a leader doesn't listen to the experts. We see it at the national level as well. Governors used to take their cues from the national leader because the federal government has many more resources to refer to in times such as this. Coumo learned too late that he was on his own. But once the crisis was upon us, he has has accepted his responsibility and not ignored the problem or sought to play it down. In fact, he has done an incredible job.

Cuomo is awful. I can't see how he would ever hold public office again after this. He needs a reality check.

The left criticized Trump for closing down international travel, calling it xenophobia. So, I guess they wouldn't have done it.
 
De Blasio refused to do anything until his health officials threatened to resign and teachers were going to walk off the job and sue. Infections skyrocketed, and then they seeded much of the country.

Please show me one article that criticized Trump for shutting down international travel calling it xenophobia? The real truth is that he was criticized for delaying the shutting down of international travel between the US and China. Most major airlines had already suspended flights to China before Trump's travel ban. Several major international carriers had already stopped due to the coronavirus outbreak. Additionally, prior to Trump's travel ban, an earlier State Department advisory told Americans not to travel to China because of the outbreak.

Another 40,000 people flew to the US after Trump announced his travel ban. 279 flights from China arrived in the U.S. since Trump's travel restrictions were announced and the screening procedures were uneven, poor and even lacking for the majority of those incoming flights.

More than 400,000 Chinese came to America after Trump 'shut down' air travel from there.

The question is, does he agree with Cuomo's actions, which are the same as that of Trump and the Red state govs? If he doesn't, then he disagrees with Trump and the Red state govs. Doubtful I will get a straight answer from MR. Do you agree with Cuomo's actions? There's a lot else I can go into, but first I need to know where MR, and you, stand.

NY has the most deaths of any state by far, and to say that everyone else bungled it is no excuse.

NJ- 8.9 million residents- 149,013 cases- 10,586 deaths. 1 infection per 60 residents. 1 death per 840 residents.


FL- 21.48 million residents- 46,944 cases- 2,052 deaths. 1 infection per 457 residents. 1 death per 10,468 residents.
TX- 29 million residents- 49,912 cases- 1,369 deaths. 1 infection per 581 residents. 1 death per 21,183 residents.
CA- 39.51 million residents- 81,795 cases- 3,331 deaths. 1 infection per 483 residents. 1 death per 11,861 residents.

Looking at this, it's abundantly clear who has succeeded and who has failed. FL and TX combined have over 3.5 times fewer cases and over 8 times fewer deaths than NY state alone while having 2.5 times the population. Cuomo is the very last person who should be on TV either defending his performance or criticizing others.

And you have failed to account for the density of NYC in spreading that disease. How much did it affect the rest of the state?

Any argument against Cuomo's leadership is doomed to abject humiliation.

True. Donald Trump failed in his responsibility to protect the United States from this pandemic. But that does not excuse Andrew Cuomo failing in his duty as governor to take responsible steps to protect the people of New York. Expect a harsh moniker like "Granny Killing Cuomo" or something of the like to be placed upon him over the coming weeks.

Oh. LA isn't dense? Or Houston? Or Dallas? or Miami? Cuomo is a complete failure as these numbers clearly show. It's not even a red state-blue state thing as CA also has done well. It must be very embarrassing for you to simultaneously pretend Trump has failed while defending the guy who clearly, unmistakably HAS failed. As for NYC, yes, DeBlasio is also a failure.

Hilarious. Cuomo did worse than the other 49 states. The numbers are there for anyone to look at.
