In the growing series of President Trump’s controversial removals of inspectors general, the firing of State Department IG Steve Linick might be the most problematic. Linick, we’ve come to find out, had been investigating Secretary of State Mike Pompeo personally, as well as a major decision Pompeo had approved on an arms deal with Saudi Arabia. And both the White House and Pompeo have said the removal of Linick was Pompeo’s call.

On Monday, Pompeo’s office made the case for why Linick deserved to be removed. But, at least at this point, it’s pretty thin gruel.

Using staffers for personal tasks, multiple flights on government aircraft back to KS, & pushing through a major arms sale to Saudi Arabia might warrant a Special Counsel to look into this fatso.

Barr would never appoint a Special Counsel to investigate Pompeo corruption. That will have to wait until 2021.

The arms sale is legal.

The rest is stuff that everyone...especially in Congress...has done.

(how many times has Pelosi used government aircraft to shuttle between DC and CA)

Anyway, who do you think will/would assign a Special Counsel?

Trump's all hepped up on chloroquine; that's why he's not rational.

Remember when the right used to be outraged about a President firing IGs? Well, that was when Obama was President. Now they don't care anymore.

I'm waiting for words of wisdom from right wing darling Michelle Malkin on Trump's War on Inspectors General.

How desperate you must be to bring up transportation for the Speaker. Set up by the Bush administration at the request of the then Speaker Hastert, this complaint is about 18 years too late.

Good, fire all of Obuttgate's holdover stooges!
